So I know this a minor feature but I kinda miss when our character would shiver when it was cold outside and not properly clothed or when our character would fan themselves and sweat when it was hot..I know wheather doesn't affect our character but it was a nice feature..am I the only one who misses this ?

I miss this too. Especially since they made windy days and stuff a thing, you'd think our characters would be more affected by weather this time around, like maybe the idle animation if you were in the cold/rain without a jacket is shivering, or out of breath if overdressed in the heat. Something not intrusive to gameplay and just appearance wise.

I think a lot of people miss these small details from the previous game. I can understand why they weren't added in but they were cute.

I really liked the small easter egg with the red mushroom (you'd grow huge for a split second like in Super Mario) in NL. I already tried eating one of each mushroom and nothing happens, lol.

Oh man I forgot about that feature it was so cool ! Man I wish it was in the game..

It's kinda interesting how they added so many new details into New Horizons, yet the old ones from previous titles got mostly removed for whatever reasons. Perhaps they bring it back one day via a update, I would welcome it at least.

I would love more weather-based features, maybe even a weather forecast on the bulletin board each week. Or in windy weather, if you stand still maybe your umbrella gets pulled a little during gusts

I also miss this. So many missed details. They would shiver in the winter after you went diving.

I hadn't noticed it was gone, but I can't say I missed it at all. It's such a minor thing and I remember being annoyed at it for delaying the gameplay (though we have drop-off box phone calls for that now...)

Sadly that's what happens with making a larger and heavier game for a console rather than a game for a handheld device. You are given more time and resources for various other things, with New Horizons they were on a tight schedule and had priorities to make perfect before anything else. Maybe another year of development and more cash to work with and you'd probably get those. I mean the game would be pretty much the same (updates per month) but ya, it is what it is.

Like Pokemon too, they could have the outlook of keeping certain mechanics to certain games for them to stand out as well.

The small and simple things like this really do capture the essence of the game. I liked watching my character sweat and pull their collar or shiver. Or when you're diving at winter and when you exit you sneeze and shiver. Cause diving in frigid water is super cold. It only makes sense.

I said it somewhere before, but you reminded me. In NL if you sat with a villager on the bench they would smile in glee (and it looked really cute) if you were good friends. They wouldn't do that if you didn't have enough points, but in NH it's like they could care less if you sit with them or that they're even programmed to be aware.

Or with the megaphone if you called out their name they would look around in shock if you have no points and would wave in glee if you were good buddies. I miss this stuff. They really do need to focus on this stuff now and less on terraforming.

Since your character really doesn't have a gender because you can switch gender around at any time. The character doesn't really have feelings for things like for the weather xD

But really Nintendo was lazy for details in this game. Covid had nothing to do with it. They been working on the game, but hardly ever added details. Maybe one day they'll listen to their older AC fans and add them in. which is hardly a chance for that to happen
