It's easier to find them if you just go about your daily routine. I just did chores for the villagers or caught fish. Left a villagers house after dropping a gift off and one was waiting outside. Switch to net and than froze when it tried to attack. Once it sat back down I slowly walk towards it and nailed it. Two night ago a caught the tarantula while fishing.
One player changed her clock to evening when it was 2pm real time. She caught the bug for both players in a short period of time.
Easier when your eyes aren't tired.

I just saw my first scorpion today, and tarantula like yesterday.. haha. If we're talking about how luck anyone is, I've never, never found a four leaf clover. Not even once. xD

Last night Player 3 was walking slowly to her house and saw a scorpion close the police station. It moved a little and than sat in front of the door trying to blend in. Thought it would disappear but she got it. She has 2 scorpions and 2 tarantulas in her basement.
It was good lucky on items day and she caught a lot of rare fish.
