Game has been out for over a month now.

Remember when you made the mistake of . . . ?

I just had a moment today. A villager of mine wanted to move out, and I decided to close out the game in the middle of the dialogue in the hopes of a different villager choosing to move away. Well, now no villager has the option of moving out. Guess I will have to wait for another day. (I am not a time traveler. I do not use Amiibo cards.)

I'd love to hear about your moments!

I made the mistake of underestimating my plans for my island and not overseeing the risk of "completing" them early. Thankfully I stopped midway. I can't imagine completing my island THEN new shops pop up. It looks ugly atm but at least I won't be that person who was pressed bc they have to redo their island bc of hedges/bushes. LMAO.

i had been waiting for beau to move out for ages and once i was time travelling to quickly build some bridges and a thought bubble appeared over beau's head so i spoke to him and he said he wanted to move but i tend to mash the a button a lot and i accidently told him to stay lol

i made the mistake of collecting and breeding too many flowers before i unlocked terraforming and figured out where i want stuff to happen. it's great having all the flowers, but whenever i want to work on a certain area i have to relocate like 60 flowers and my island is super overrun ;; i would sell them or give them away but that takes time too ;;

Didn’t have a plan..- honestly my island looks so ugly rn because of it, and now I’m trying to redo everything to make it look good lmao- Also not cleaning up my flowers everyday. I fear for when the new shops come out, but I should be able to plan for them just in case

planting too many trees. It was really good for making bells at first, but now I just have waaayyy too many fruit trees all over the place. I don't want to sacrifice any fruit trees so I pick each tree up before I chop one down when decorating to make sure I'm not losing any valuable fruit. It is so tiring 😩. Also, my layout of villager houses is kinda wonky. I have about 5 houses closely packed together on the rightmost side of the island, 2 on the middle strip near the town hall and shops, and 2(+1 more maybe) really far apart on the leftmost strip.

I've made my fair share of mistakes... like not inviting Audie when I found her as part of my early peppy pool, or accidentally moving houses one space off (happened with Julian AND Skye).

Also, I replaced my starter log bridge with a brick bridge without realizing one of the edges of the brick bridge actually blocks a small 1-tile path I had going to it that worked with the log bridge, I was so annoyed

Edit: Forgot to add the last one!

I've gotten a river from the west and realized I didn't want that but I just covered the mouth with the cliff. It doesn't bother me that much

I've grown too many flowers on a second story cliff I want to get rid of and now I have a lot of cleaning up to do before I tear the cliff down

I spent way to many IG bells on NMTs than I should have

Moving buildings/bridges/inclines around at 3am, waking up to realize they're 1 tile off or realizing somewhere completely different they'd look better. :'D I also haven't planned much of anything but it's turned out fine, other than having no clue what to do with my river.

I made a mistake by not inviting Flora when I first saw her on and island because later on I really wanted her so I bought the amiibo card which was very overpriced. I've been making and saving more money recently so I was okay buying the card but definitely could have saved the money if I had just adopted her when I found her by chance!

I once bought turnips from my friend's island, but he was in a different time zone (He's in PHT, I'm in PST) so his Sunday Morning was my Saturday night. The turnips already went bad the very next day because the game thinks I bought turnips during the last week, so they spoiled immediately when my game went from Saturday to Sunday (thus it rolled over to the next week) and I lost ~250k in bells

Nope you didn’t make any mistake. Since the update, it takes longer to convince them to move in but just talk to them for like 30 minutes or more and eventually they will have a dialogue that reads something like “wow I guess you really want me here, guess I’ll talk to guest services”. Before the update, it was an instance but now you have to work for it!

So no you didn’t make any mistake. I hope I save the day! :D

Not sure what you are referring to. I closed out the game and reloaded. The villager in question no longer indicates they want to move or stay. No "thought" bubble exists.

Damn!
Didn't know that could happen. It should be a Bug :(

not getting into turnips sooner? it’s a pain but apparently the only way to really make money in this game 😭

When I moved my Nook's Cranny, I accidentally moved it a spot to low. So now I have to move it twice again to fit perfectly. 🤦‍♀️

I did that with the museum, but it turned out I was still about 2 spots too low from what I wanted. So I had to move it 4 times overall. Kind of a rant of mine that we can't move buildings by just a few spaces.

I made the mistake of putting Diana’s house in front of the secret beach because I thought it would just end up being a normal tiny beach, and that if for some reason ships came in they’d come in at the actual dock
