How often do you switch out villagers?

Depends if I like them or not, but I’m letting them go if I get their picture. Although I won’t really move out villagers I like or my favorites.

For the past month, I've been constantly kicking out villagers because I was cycling and looking for those that I really want.

Now that I have them, I am aiming to get their photos first before I let them move out. Some will stay in town, forever.

I usually find it hard to let villagers go once I get attached to them ;; But I do want all the personalities so it will have to happen some time in the future... :/ Currently have 3 lazies (Zucker, Bob & Beau) god knows how in the world I will ever pick one to let go LOL

I'm not a big fan of swapping out villagers all the time. The ones I have now, I plan to keep. The only reason I've done any swapping so far was to get rid of my first smug and then to cycle my starters for their default houses.

If I want to see some new or familiar faces, I'll scan someone into the campsite and visit with them there. Right now, I don't see myself getting rid of any of the 10 villagers I have.

hm, not really! the majority of my villagers (around 8 or 9) are usually ones that are here in my town to stay. then there's the remaining couple that i decide to keep as i progress throughout the game. for example, genji was never originally one of my dreamies, but i've grown to adore him over time! he was one of my starting villagers and i just kinda warmed up to him while i was still in the midst of getting my other dreamies. i'm thinking of kicking him out so i can move him in again with his actual house, though, since the starter villager interiors are such an eyesore.
