How many resets until you got a perfect map?

I bought a second copy of the game because I found a map I wanted that dreams are made out of. However, after resetting 45 times and seeing the same maps repeat themselves over and over and not getting even close to the map I want, I'm almost considering giving up on my second town totally. I bought the copy specifically for that map and I'm just...not getting it.

If you guys reset for a perfect map, how many times did you until you got it? If it was over 45, how on earth did you get the patience for it?

I didn't quite count the amount of times, but I've been resetting since 11am on my side and I got a fantastic layout not too long ago, at around 6:30pm or so. I'm pretty sure I have some form of OCD, and I believe the stress/anxiousness of not having a layout I'm happy with is what keeps me going every time. xD;;

Probably a million!! lol no but it took me nearly 4 days I'm sure you can imagine how many resets that is lol Don't give up! maybe lower your standards a little or take a break so your eyes don't immediately see tiny flaws. It will happen :3

But since I last reset, the map I have now was the first map choice. One time? 4,001 times? Who knows.

I found a few perfect layouts, but the problem was they ended up being ruined by ponds being in the worst possible places, which was so frustrating. One of them was amazing and I almost picked it, but there was a wall of ponds blocking retail. Not pleased.

I'm a casual, so I just picked the one I liked. On my soon-to-be second copy, I'm gonna actually try to get a good one.

omg how long did that take? i gave up after 35 hours and just stuck with a decent map

I did for maybe an hour or 2 and then I lost patience and picked one that was decent at least, I've been happy with my map for the most part tho

When I reset my first town, I went through around 940+ maps so thats around 235 resets~ It took me a day and a half-ish

According to my activity log, I reset about 6,000 times. But I know i reset for a few more days after seeing that number.

That was 11 months ago though, I now have my perfect map <3

I got my map on my first try, in fact, since I got it on release, I didn't know you could reset and pick another river/town layout that's better suited to your tastes. Nobody really knew anything.

I didn't choose the map for Tenshi because my sister did, so I don't know what she thought about it but the map is doable. However, for Starpass, I don't recall the amount of times I reset, but it took 4 days of resetting to get the layout I wanted. I just found the map I wanted for Starpass yesterday, too.

Maybe around 400-500? I got tons of great maps but I just couldn't tolerate some of the ponds, or rocks, or fruit, or it had creepy Marcel/Limburg (who were stalking me). Overall it took about 15 days and I just got it started this morning
