I had exactly 6.
My first one was some Nokia when Internet wasn't even a phone thing. It couldn't take picture.
Then I had some terrible LG touch-screen phone. Then a blackberry, then a Samsung Galaxy (don't remember which one.) Then I purchased a cheap Cubot Magic and now my current one is a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8

- 2 b&w anycall flip phones (before high school)
- A pink LG chocolate, pink anycall haptic, iPhone 3s?? (high school)
- Blackberry for my first year of college only, then after that I didn't use a smart phone. I don't remember why though... I used a free phone app with WiFi on my iPad until I graduated 😅 In hindsight this was very embarrassing and awkward for my dating life because no one believed me when I said I didn't have a phone and sometimes I actually said "you can email me" 🤣
- After college I started using iPhones again. I had a 4S and currently I'm still using my iPhone SE that I got in 2016. So in 7 years I've only used two phones. I kind of want to upgrade but my phone still works so 🤷‍♂️

Ok lemme count
I had a flip phone for manyyyyy years
then some sort of android thingy
then an iphone
and now a second iphone
4 ^^

Only two. My first one is done for. The second phone is the IPhone 6s. If it still works, there’s no need to buy a new one every single year.
I don’t quite understand why people constantly upgrade.

I had my first mobile phone around 11, to call my grandparents if something arrives at school or after. Purple one. When I enter to secondary school, I quickly had a smartphone with two screens (you know, the ones for 'video games') but I was just terrible with it so I picked another phone, with all the letters of the alphabet as a keyboard haha. Keep it for few years before acquiring my second smartphone which quickly broke down. After a repair, I kept it for a few years till the battery went completely down (full charge to zero in one hour). I bought another one, change the other's battery (we still could on this model) and abandon the old one in Singapore few years ago (was using it just for music). Kept the Huawai, and to enter to the university 3 years ago, changed again to a Samsung.

Plan to buy another one in few months.

I've had three. My first one was a Samsung Galaxy Sol, which was mainly just so I'd have the safety of being able to contact people when I was out on my own, and it was... really not that great a phone. ^^; I eventually replaced it with an iPhone SE, which I liked a lot better, and I used that one for a few years until it started having battery drain issues. I upgraded to an iPhone 11 a year or two ago, I think, and I'm planning to stay on this one as long as possible. I don't really get excited over smartphone features/capabilities or anything, so I don't buy new phones unless I need them.

I'm updating my vote to 2 because I got my second mobile phone several months ago. My first phone still worked, but it was starting to have minor issues and slow down. I probably would have kept it a bit longer, but T-Mobile bought out Sprint and forced me to upgrade because they were going to stop supporting my phone. They provided me a free Samsung A32 and I'm already having some minor annoying issues with it. I never get voicemail notifications anymore even though I've double checked and they are set to be on. I also have to restart my phone frequently or I'll just randomly stop receiving texts and calls. I can be in the middle of a text conversation and suddenly stop getting texts. I restart my phone and the messages are there. It's very frustrating, but it was a free phone and I'm not going to pay to upgrade unless it becomes absolutely necessary.

i had a few motorolla flip phones in the 2000s to early 2010s, i think around 3 or 4. can't remember the names specifically because it was during the time that phones were named with a bunch of numbers.

after those i upgraded to an iphone 4s > iphone 5s > iphone 6s > iphone 7 in piano black, my favorite one ever > iphone xs > iphone 12.

🥴 that's a lot of e waste oh boy

I've had 3 I believe. I had some form of hand me down Motorola when I was in elementary and beginning of middle school that didn't have cell service, which one day it just shut off and never turned back on again. Then I got one of my parent's old Google Pixel 2XL sometime in middle school which I had up until last year when I got a Pixel 4XL, which is what I have currently.

I'm pretty sure I've had either four or five, I know it's not many as I only change my phone when the battery life starts to rapidly deteriorate.

I’ve probably had… more than 6? But I don‘t actually “buy” the phones (snjsjkdjdjd pls dont come at me).

My parents both give and receive calls on a daily basis. Because constantly loading your SIM was a hassle, they each availed of a postpaid package that gave a free phone every year or two when you’d renew your postpaid contract. Since we’re a pretty small family, the new phones came out faster than we could maximize our current phones, so every year or two ends up being a cycle of hand-me-downs, with my parents always getting the new phones from renewing. Majority of my phones are just hand-me-downs from my mom. Also, because these were “free” phones, they were obviously not the latest or best phones, but they were decent enough. They would never hand out, say, a free iPhone. All phones I’ve had were android phones, heh.

I’m personally not a techy person, I can’t care at all about what the latest phones are or something, and I have no trouble keeping a phone for a few years. But I also wouldn’t turn down a hand-me-down which is slightly better than my current hand-me-down phone, LOL.

I'm on my third phone. I just don't see the need to upgrade often unless my current phone doesn't work properly anymore eheh.

my current phone is my 6th phone and is the 2nd phone i've actually bought with my own money. i used to have a pixel 3a that i liked but for some reason got a REALLY sudden urge to upgrade my phone last tax season, so i got a galaxy S20. it's fine but i really, REALLY miss my pixel.

I think I’m currently on my fifth phone? I haven’t paid much attention to my phones since I don’t use them besides for using them when going out and want to listen to music on the go and texting and whatnot.

I have none because I am not old enough to own a phone and I have no reason to have a phone in my opinion. We do have a home phone I use to call my grandparents but thats all I have and need for now!
