I've had the game since September and I have played for 138:45. I thought that was a long time, but I'm feeling a bit better after looking at all of your play times! But, I did have a massive break over Christmas so I guess there's that.

According to what my town tree looks like, I've played over 200 hours. I have a second copy I've played a while with so I can't go by my activity log. So no idea how many hours I have to go to reach the 500 mark.

I reset my town a few months ago and only have about 200 hours on it. I took a really long break from the game and just recently started playing again.
