Hello! My name is Dun and this is my new art dump, where I’ll share my drawings. I made a thread four years ago, but I wanted to make a new thread to try to organize my art better. I also want to set some goals for myself and use the thread to track my progress.
I’m still just a casual artist and I still consider myself a beginner that is still learning how to draw. I’m drawing just for fun and while I do want to improve, I’m not sure if it’ll become more than a casual hobby/interest for me. I have a lot of mental health problems that I need to work on - finding better ways to treat and work with.
I was drawing traditionally up until after TBT Fair 2024; after that, I started drawing digitally since my mom bought me an iPad around that time, I think. I did really enjoy drawing traditionally and I may try it again at some point; but right now, I feel like there is no turning back since I’m really enjoying drawing digitally.

TBT Fair 2024 WIP - might add on and edit this later
I had so much fun during this event and I really loved the theme. Magificent memories was one of my favorite activities because it made me think of all the memories that have made me happy while being part of this community. It was fun trying to think how to draw each memory that I picked to include in my entry. This event was the first event where I burnt myself out in the process since I don’t think that I ever participated in an event as much as I had during this fair; I was still burn out when the Haunted Carnival started . I participated in a lot for Camp Bell Tree 2021 but I don’t remember getting burnt out during or after the event. Aside from being still burnt out during Haunted Carnival, I don’t regret participating as much as I did; I do lowkey wish I skipped the legos activity even though I wouldn’t have been able to get everything that I ended up getting from the event.
I’m including some of my other entries since I’d like a place to put them and look at them all together without digging through the archives.
Canvas Crossing
One of my favorite activities of the fair was canvas crossing. I wanted to do more art than what I had submitted, but at this point of the event, I was beyond burnt out . I still am incredibly touched by all of the drawings that were done of my rep. I still want to return the favor for those who I didn’t get to and more.
To be honest, I’m quite embarrassed of my drawings even though I tried my best on each one. When drawing traditionally, I always have the problem with the colored pencils smearing.
I drew this for @Xara. A couple years ago, I believe 2021, we both partook in the chat where we all lived on the same island in The Woods. There were many attempts to plant Tangy; since then, Tangy Tree has been one of our many topics of discussion, so I thought giving Xara a Tangy balloon was a must . Xara also had gifted me a ghost kitty plush and wanted nothing in return. So to represent the ghost kitty plush and also her special kitty, Miss Bonk, I had to draw Bonk like a cat plush collectible . You can find the original post here.
Here is @S.J. ‘s rep! I drew her with an NFT turnip since while I was on my hiatus, she gifted me one . After seeing her with a full lineup of turnips and seeing @Kirbyz calling her a turnip, I think I’m even more glad I decided to draw her with a turnip lol. I tried to personalize each of these drawings that I did with a small add on item. I do wish I could have done more with this drawing; @S.J. has been such a wonderful friend in the time that I’ve known her and I feel like this doesn’t do her justice (I feel the same about the other drawings that I did for Canvas Crossing). Here is the original post.
I drew @KittenNoir ’s rep too. I gave her a black cat plush with a broom and ribbon as a little reference to Kiki’s Delivery Service; also because the cat plush I bought from Jhine was hers! Also, I felt like she needed on because her cat, Ziba is a black cat and I know how much Ziba means to her. You can find the original post here.
For my last drawing, I drew @/MrBox ’s rep. I gave him Splatoon balloons since we played Splatoon 3 together during TBTWC. Here is the original post.
Colorful Confetti
The line art was made by @/Mick & @/Laudine.
I had to color in my girls :3.
I’m sharing these because this was the first time that I used a digital art program; this was my first coloring activity that I participated in too. I was really overwhelmed at the time but I was really happy that I completed the activity and while my coloring was not the best, I thought I did good for my first time using a digital program and more importantly, I had a lot of fun (maybe less on the second one since I think I was experiencing burnout at that point ). I wanted to try learning to shade while doing this activity, but I’m glad I didn’t otherwise I probably wouldn’t have finished and/or gotten worse burnout from the event
A Cordial Invitation
For my invitation, I drew a cake that had the New Leaf town tree on the top and on the second layer, New Horizon’s shops and a house; I think I wanted it to have more layers and maybe also have the ocean but I was tight on time so that is probably why I didn’t do more. The concept I had in mind was showing some of the expansion/development that you see in the games. I was pretty happy with how it turned out; I just wasn’t happy about how I messed up on Rover’s arms.
Dazzling Decorator
My entry for dazzling decorator was the entry that I was most proud of. I ended up inviting way too many villagers though . Still, I think this entry was a big improvement from my past ACNH room design entries and that makes me really happy. Around this time, I think, @skarmoury gave me some really helpful tips that I feel has helped me do much better. On top of that, she helped me find a better mindset and way to enjoy the events more and to not get as discouraged about not getting staff favorite. I’m extremely grateful to her (and also to @LadyDestani who has also given me similar encouragement) .
In the past, for my ACNH entries, I’d solely try to design something unique and give a different spin to the prompt. A lot of times, I think it was difficult to understand my design since a lot of times they were references to something or just too many ideas mashed together. Thanks to Skar, I realize this and a couple other things that would have made those entries better .
Here, I tried my best to keep it simple and picked a starry night theme. Since the prompt was design a birthday party room, I thought a birthday party under the stars, with some ruins in the background would be a fun idea to work with. I included a telescope for stargazing, arcade machines, board games, tv and a switch for entertainment and a fountain with a coin in front of it. The fountain and coin represent the idea of making a wish. The clock on the wall is something I designed in NL - Bahamut’s symbol in FFX. I forgot why I included it aside from the fact I thought it would look good with the background . It wasn’t meant to be the center focus but more of a small easter egg/decoration.
Magnificent Memories
I was really happy with how this one turned out, though I think even at the time that I drew it I thought that the composition was kinda weird. I think I was trying to experiment with incorporating the Persona 5 style to my drawing kinda like I had done for a drawing that I did years ago. I think my ideas for this drawing was decent but something looks off. I think it might have something to do with the colors since the Persona 5 theme I was going for is mainly black and red; I knew at the time the colors were a problem and I tried to think of other things to make it work better, but I couldn’t think of any alternatives so I just went with the ideas anyways.
Return of the Haunted Carnival WIP - Might add on and edit this latet
This event marks the first time that I drew something digitally; I tried drawing something for three of the activities. By the third activity, Pierrot’s Parlor, I think I started to get the hang of the program. I had so much fun participating in this event, including the events that involved drawing. My favorite activities were banner beasts (if that counts) and Unreal Estate; decorating in ACNH is my favorite activity in events. I loved banner beasts since it gave me the opportunity to see one of my girls on the banner . I didn’t participate in every activity this time. I was still extremely burnt out from the Fair and by the end of this event, I was even more burnt out, but I had so much fun and I got what I wanted so it was definitely worth.
Banner Beasts
I wasn’t sure if I should include this since this is just a screenshot of Spanky in the banner and my entry was a picture that I took of her. But, this was one of the things in the event that I was most excited and happy. Sometime before the event was announced, I saw someone else’s cat got to be in the banner for a different event (I think it was the previous Halloween event) which I thought was such a cute idea; I was a bit bummed that I missed that event, so I was so happy to see banner beasts as one of the activities we could participate in. It made me so happy to see Spanky in the banner and how many votes she got. It really meant so much to me since my girls both are everything to me . Here is the post with my entry.
I love her so much .
Creature Feature
The creature that I was assigned to was the bloated ostrich.
This was my second time drawing something digitally. I’m honestly a bit embarrassed of this one, but I’m including it since I want to track my progress. @Muna ’s Smallfry avatar was the main inspiration behind this along with the Fat Chocobo from Final Fantasy VIII.
You can find my entry with its description here. I can’t remember why I decided to go with the idea as I did; I do know at the time I kept noticing Muna’s avatar as I browsed the forums. The happy derpy face and silly little bounce in the gif kept catching my attention lol. After that, I used the amiibo of Smallfry for my reference. I know the concept behind it coming after you if you kick a baby bloated ostrich was based on some gameplay in FFVIII.
Delicious Designs
This was the first time I tried drawing something on a digital art program. I was a bit bummed that I didn’t think of drawing it on bigger canvas and resizing it later.
I tried to make a Black Frost Cookie since I thought it’d be perfect for a Halloween themed treat considering its kinda spooky appearance.
Pierrot’s Parlor
For Pierrot’s Parlor, I chose to draw Saharah with a dove, moon and olive branches.
Of the three drawings that I did for this event, I was happiest with this entry. I think I was starting to get the hang of shading in this program a little bit. I do spot at least one thing that could be fixed though.
Unreal Estate
I was a little bit overwhelmed by this activity at first since I was hoping to decorate just one room since I was extremely burnt out still from the Fair. I ended up still having fun though!
Design 1: This was inspired by the text based game from the Bell Tree Manor event from a couple of years ago. That game and the fishing game were probably my favorites of the games we’ve had.
Added a cursed Zipper lamp as an reference to the cursed Zipper images we get from time-to-time.
Design 2:
A haunted fairy forest
Design 3:
Kamoshida’s Palace from Persona 5 except decorated for Halloween. Pumpkin volleyball anyone?
Design 1 and 3 were my favorites that I did; I felt design 1 was the better of the two though. The last design was for fun since I was extremely burnt out; not sure if I did this activity before, after or in between the other entries that I had to do. I knew if I wanted staff favorite, I probably should stay away from references to things that others might not be too familiar with. Here, I wanted to have some fun so I made an exception this time. I was fine about not getting staff favorite; I just wanted to make something I was happy with and improve my decorating skills if possible, and more importantly have fun which I did! A friend told me she thought I was improving which to me was a better reward than staff favorite; my friend is such an amazing acnh decorator so that really made me so happy!
TBT’s Season of Giving 2024 WIP - might add on and edit this later
My favorite activities for this event were Season’s Greetings and Stocking Stuffers. Again I was and still am extremely touched by all the stockings that were drawn for me. I would love to return the favor if I can somehow, maybe once I finish all my projects that I’m currently behind on. Season’s Greetings was a lot of fun and it was the first entry that I got more ambitious with. I had fun getting even more familiar with the tools and experimenting a bit.
Season’s Greetings
Usually art activities aren’t my favorite activities in events, but for Season of Giving, Season’s Greetings ended up being my favorite activity. I thought it was such a cute idea to make a card for a villager. At the time, I was still working on my second island and also I had been thinking of trying to draw something for my island journal eventually in the Persona 5 style, so I thought this was a good opportunity to get some practice. While I was working on this, I did think at first while working on it that I bit off more than I could chew and that I got too ambitious . The stars and my island rep were the most daunting part of the project.
My greeting card was far from perfect, but I feel like it still was a huge improvement from my last art entries. I based the background of the front of the card on the menu background in Persona 5; the background of the back or inside of the card was based on the background of the calling cards and the small Joker drawing was based on one of the loading screen graphics (with small changes like the santa hat being added). The snowflakes were also based on some graphics in the game too (I think the snowflakes on a winter day on the calendar).
I named my second island’s rep Frizzy Hair since early in the game, Morgana calls Joker that and I often name him that; I‘m planning on designing my island based on locations in Persona 5. I chose to write to Punchy since he looks kinda like Morgana (my favorite Persona 5 character) and because he’s my favorite villager.
Secret Stocking Stuffers
Like Canvas Crossing, I wanted to do more stocking, but I only had time to do one because of how long my Season’s Greeting entry took. I also wanted to decorate the stocking more, but I didn’t have much time left, I don’t think.
I chose to draw a stocking for @azurill. I included a personalized card from my girls to her and Aurora, a corgi collectible since I saw in a thread that she would love a corgi collectible, a moon ball since she likes Pokemon and also because of one of her ACNH islands was called Crescent Moon Island. I also included Shiny Azurill, a crescent moon chair with a star pillow, a painting of Aurora, Chewy gift card so she can buy Aurora some new toys or treats, and an Aurora plushie holding a fortune cookie from Pocket camp. If I had more time, I might’ve added some more items. I had a lot of fun putting it together. I was particularly pretty happy with how the fortune cookie, corgi collectible and my personalized card turned out . I really would love to do something like this or canvas crossing again; hopefully in an event with less activities so I am not burnt out and also so I have more time to do extras.
Secret Santa Art Exchange WIP - might add on and edit this later
This was my first time participating in @Balverine ’s Secret Santa Art Exchange. I had so much fun participating in this. I was a bit daunted since I’m still learning to draw and was still learning how to draw digitally but I decided to give it a try anyways (special thanks to @Aquilla for telling me about the art exchange and for the encouragement to give it a try ). It was fun and I felt like it helped me tremendously get more familiar with some of the tools and it helped me improve my drawing a bit. I really loved what @Dinosaur drew for me too .
I was matched up with @jadetine (I hope you’re doing okay ); I was especially excited about this since she is a friend. I had an idea almost right away for an extra drawing that I wanted to do for her.
I first did her request for a drawing of her OC, even though I was afraid I was not going to do her justice. I wanted to give it a try though because I thought it would be good practice for me to learn how to draw characters, she looked fun to draw and I really wanted to draw something that she wanted to return the favor of some art freebies that she surprised me with in the past .
Bonus Art:
A few years ago, I commissioned Renn to make a tarot card of Maruki from Persona 5 since I wanted some fan art as some kind of commemoration for his voice actor Billy Kametz who had passed away and one of the roles that he played. Billy Kametz was one of my favorite voice actors - not just for his talent but for how friendly and kind he was to everyone. He even helped me decide on a name for one of my kittens when I got my girls and shared some name ideas I had on his server.
Renn did such an amazing job on it and ofc on all of the art commissions that she did for me, so I thought to draw her a tarot card of her favorite villager. She told me when I first commissioned her for the Maruki tarot card that she loved tarot cards too so that is another reason why I wanted to make this for her.
I used the tarot card of the Lovers card from Persona 5 as a reference as well as art of Renn’s AC rep.
The letters might have been the biggest challenge of the whole drawing. Drawing and shading Ketchup in different poses was also a bit challenging too; thank you Harv’s studio and Ketchup (amiibo card) for the help lol. I tried to set up the three Ketchups similar to how the shadows on the game’s tarot card looked and also the angel. I simplified the sun’s design. For the center ketchup, I designed her outfit based a bit on the waitress outfit in ACNH and also on the outfit of the shadow in the center of the tarot card. I tried drawing the angel’s wings as they were on the Persona 5 card but it didn’t look right how I drew them, so I improvised and changed them how they looked. Maybe later on if I try drawing it again, I can draw the wings more accurately.
I’m really happy with how both of them turned out even though neither are perfect and I have an extremely long way to go before I can draw people good. At the time, I wasn’t confidant on how well I could make the tarot card and thought I was being too ambitious, but somehow I was able to do it. The biggest thing off that bothered me at the time was that I got the tarot card canvas size wrong, the background color is not the right shade of color (though at the same time, I think it looks fine with the shade of red that I used), Ketchup (I wanted to make the entire card Persona 5 style but I didn’t manage to do it with Ketchup), and the steps behind Ketchup isn’t exactly like how it is in the original tarot card. But, I’m really proud of it regardless.

I am so proud of you and the amazing art you made! It is such a shock when people think of me-- I just don't recall having much of a presence in the community, and I feel so happy and cozy to be remembered. I have been busy with my art business and spending more time afk and outdoors, so I am well! Thanks again for these lovely memories of these art gifts.

Valentine’s Week at the Bell Tree WIP - might add on and edit this later
Valentine’s Day normally is a kinda painful day for me, so I was considering skipping this event before the details of the event was announced. Valentine’s Day and the week this event was going on ended up great and so much fun thanks to this event. I was a bit sad at first about my collage not getting picked since I thought I’d do so well with this activity and I spent a good amount of time on it, but after taking a step back, I realized what I should’ve done and what would’ve made it better. More importantly though, I focused on the fact that I had so much fun making it and that most importantly of all, that I’m happy with it. I had a lot of fun with my 2D art entry for Valentine’s Party too. I was excited about the event because it was another opportunity to get more drawing practice in and to experiment with ideas. I knew I had no chance of winning which was honestly fine; I just wanted to see what I could come with and if I could improve my art more.
Aetherial Aesthetics
I love photo editing and making collages on my free time, so I was so excited when I saw this activity. The problem I had was how many ideas I had. I should’ve stuck to one theme & idea even though the prompt was make something to show your ideal Valentine’s Day; also, I should’ve explained my collage better. I think the problem here was that my ideas weren’t very clear and also the mixture of different themes. I’m still kicking myself for not explaining better and not sticking to one idea even though I know I shouldn’t be regretting it if I’m happy with what I made, which I am.
I think part of the reason I didn’t explain, aside from worrying about not submitting it in time, is because I was lowkey embarrassed (even though I shouldn’t be since a lot of peple ship characters and have crushes on characters). Putting my embarrassment aside, I was really happy with what I made since it does represent what really would make an ideal Valentine’s Day for me.
I’m putting part of my explanation behind a spoiler since I feel like it goes off topic , but I want to explain my collage more than I had when I submitted my entry.
There are so many characters that I love, but what I included are just a few of my current favorites. I consider a lot of them as comfort characters; thinking about them and looking at art/fan art of them makes me happy. Hearing their Japanese voiceovers make me really happy too. I’m a huge fan particularly of Hiroshi Kamiya (who voices Levi & Neuvillette) and Daisuke Ono (VA of Erwin Smith who is another favorite of mine & Wriothesley). The characters that I included were: Levi from Attack on Titan, Wriothesley, Neuvillette, Zhongli and Il Capitano from Genshin Impact. I also included Morgana from Persona 5, but to go with my cats since he is a cat (he is not obviously a crush but he is my favorite Persona 5 character though). I thought his showtime with Panther was perfect for this so I also couldn’t resist including him for that reason.
I also included two of my favorite pairs too: Kyo and Tohru Sohma from Fruits Basket - one of my all time favorite manga series & Hiyori & Zoro from One Piece (they aren’t a couple but I like to ship them because they’re so cute together). Fruits Basket has been a big comfort series for me since high school (just the manga; I couldn’t get into either anime). One Piece I need to catch up on again, but it is currently my favorite series. It too can be a comfort series to me since there are so many moments that make me laugh and the vibes generally gives off one of positivity and also how the character overcame obstacles and dealt with weaknesses really hits home with me since I have so much I need to overcome in my life.
Spending time with any of my comfort characters would most definitely be a perfect Valentine’s Day with me .
I had to include my girls ofc including my late kitties. Left to right are: Cocoa, Bean, O (short for Cheerios) and Mel. Cocoa and Mel were the first pair of kittens we adopted and O and Bean were our second pair. I miss them all so much. They all have brought me so much joy and comfort and meant everything to me.
I included some silly photo edits of Spanky and Jewels since I love photo editing and I used to do more photo edits when I was more active in a cat community that I’m part of.
I added a switch with a screenshot of an Among Us session since these sessions have been a big source of comfort and enjoyment for me too! Also I like the idea of spending Valentine’s day just playing video games, so that is why I thought I’d include some sort of video game reference.
I added a plush that was made by one of my favorite artists, Calamari Inari; the character is Hubert from Fire Emblem Three Houses except as a cat. Plushies comfort me also, so I included it since I wouldn’t mind a plush as a valentine’s gift or just spending the day hugging my plushies and my cats.
The roses and chocolates were included because I like the idea of a romantic Valentine’s day too (maybe with my comfort characters). I’m picky when it comes to chocolate but the gesture of being giving flowers and chocolates would make happy regardless.
Valentine’s Party
For my entry for the 2D portion of Valentine’s party, I made a Valentine’s Card with a chibi Sigewinne from Genshin Impact. I’m really proud of how this one turned out. I’m far from being ready to draw fan art of my own, but I couldn’t resist trying to draw her for my entry considering her splash art has a heart in it and part of her specialty meal is shaped like hearts.
The quote is from one of her voice lines that you can find in game. Sigewinne is a Melusine and is a nurse; she is very curious about humans and also cares a lot about others health. Her quote isn’t meant to be interpreted as a romantic sense, but I feel like it is still her expressing some sort of affection and concern. I thought it would be appropriate to use as it is since as a kid, I used to give valentine’s cards to friends and classmates just as a friend and just in spirit of the “holiday.” The part about staying cute, I thought could be used outside of its intended context in a Valentine’s day card to say that the receiver is cute. The healthy meal that she makes is her way of showing that she cares about someone and their health, which is another reason why I included the meal. I hope this makes sense; this is what I thought when I made it. I did realize that not everyone will get the reference, context or quote. But, I decided to draw it anyways since I wanted to see if I could draw her and turn part of her splash art into a card (an idea I thought of sometime after starting to draw her; I’m not sure if I thought of it right away).

Easter Eggs WIP - will add on and edit this later
Here I’ll post my ideas for Easter egg collectibles; later if it ends up getting too cluttered, I’ll make a second page and re-label this in the table of contents as Easter Eggs Part 1 or something like that.
TBT’s Easter 2025 Egg Collectible Contest
I was so excited when I saw this announcement. I’ve been hoping for some Among Us collectibles since we had some foraged Among Us shrooms during the Mushroom Season event; it was fairly recently when I thought a shapeshifter egg would be a perfect Among Us Easter Egg collectible.
Bigger picture of my egg:
Purple is my favorite color and it is also the color that I chose to have my Among Us character as, so I thought since this is my egg idea, to make the color the same color as the shapeshifter egg is for me in the game. I love the shapeshifter role so much.
It would be cool if we could have all the different color variations, if my idea ever became real. I’d try to get all of them if I could.
Other Ideas
1. Plague Doctor
The second idea that I had for an egg collectible was a Squishable Plague Doctor; I think it’d look much better as a plushie collectible but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try the idea out. I’d really love plague doctor collectible; it’d go perfectly with the crow plush theme and color wise. A friend here had introduced me to Squishables and the Plague Doctor line years back (will always be thankful since it was hard to find soft plushies with designs that I liked) and I’ve become very attached to this silly guy ever since I got my own plushie.
Bigger picture:
I forgot to add the blush marks in the version that I posted in the contest thread and I also forgot to shade it. I just added the blush marks; maybe later I’ll try to shade it.
I mainly used its concept art as my reference which you can find here along with the plushie pictures, but I also used my own Plague Doctor as a reference too.
I have two more ideas; one is WIP and another I haven’t started yet. I’ll update this post once I finish them though.
2. Arsène (Persona 5/P5R) WIP
I probably should sketch everything in first before I color and shade, but I’ve been how I’ve been doing it has helped me since in the past I have colored things the wrong color because I got something mixed up because I’d forget what is what. For another drawing that I’m working on, I am trying something different, using different shades of gray for the shapes to try to separate ideas. I probably should have been doing this all along since I think someone has mentioned to me about using different colors while doing their sketch.
The mask’s location is subject to change. I’m considering moving it to the center of the egg; will have to figure out how to rotate it (no idea yet) if I need to that is and maybe resize it as well.
I used the Will-O-Wisp collectible for my reference for the flame; also looked at @S.J. & @Muna flame eggs for inspiration. I like how it is turning out but looking at the flame style of the references that I used, I’ve been wondering if I should change it.
I still need to color in the flame more and shade the bottom area and also finish coloring shading the feathers and adjust the colors more maybe.
This drawing has been the most challenging to shade (and probably the most challenging drawing) that I’ve done so far. I’m a bit iffy on the shading on the shirt and the area below the shirt by the leg. It was hard to make out the details with Joker blocking the way in the image.
I realize this image is way too detailed to be an egg, so once I’m done, I may duplicate the file, make changes to the second file and simplify it. I’m still going to share the finished drawing though.
This is from Last Cloudia, a game that I play. The artwork is bigger; I actually just go in the game to use the unit’s art as reference, not this picture. The art is animated.
