How do you feel about new buildings?

Here's another thought. What if they allowed you to have more villagers? Yay or nay?

Nope. The areas where my villagers are is perfectly sized for the 10 I have. I'm not crowding more in or demolishing existing areas to accommodate more houses.

I feel as if as opposed to older Animal Crossing games, New Horizons is more concerned than ever before with not doing things too quickly and having things slowly evolve over time (and it's honestly one of the game's greatest strengths imo) so having certain NPCs start off as traders who randomly visit (like in AC/WW) and eventually having them have their own shops on the island (like in LGTTC/NL) is something I see happening at some point in the future... I'm just not entirely sure it's going to happen til next year, aside from the Dream Suite and The Roost, which given their presence in the code atm, are going to turn up before 2020 is over.

However, I'm very much for having new shops added into the game, and there's a couple of strips of land on my island where they could go if and when they're added (although, given how some things work in a slightly cut-down form at this moment in time, like mail and house expansion, and given how Tortimer and Lottie are apparently going to be added into the game, I feel as if it's a when rather than an if)

It will be a little bit of a pain to accommodate for me, but more than willing to make the changes. I wanted to keep some areas looking more natural, is the thing. I can still do that with a couple more buildings, though. I just hope they aren't too big.

I'd be a bit annoyed with having to make layout changes (though I do have a few spots set aside), but for the most part I'd definitely be down for it!

One thing I'd want to see most is actually a condominium complex or hotel of sorts. A single building that can house 5 extra villagers and then be upgrade to house a total of 10. You'd get to customize the exterior to fit the theme of your town! Who wouldn't want extra villager slots?

I would love more shops. If there is a museum shop I hope they sell silver tools that don't break like ACNL museum upstairs.
Harvey island needs to be used for other things.

I loved Main Street from New Leaf and the city from City Folk. It will hopefully make the island feel a whole lot more alive and functional.

i welcome them! i've got a ton of open space - i've mostly been decorating smaller, focused areas so i'd love to have more buildings to work around :')

I hate the idea personally. Just...I have enough trouble fitting what I have nicely and things like the Dream Suite I didn't use in NL. NL worked because it had a separate area for these shops and whatnot

I'm excited for new buildings! I'm not wild about trying to fit them into my island, though! I've planned everything out and my current design wouldn't work with more buildings.

I have huge swathes on my island that are nothing but flowers, so I'm excited to fill those up. I do sympathize with people who have intricate and planned-out layouts and will have to do away with some stuff, though.

I want more! I have a big undeveloped bit of my island that I need some inspiration for. A cafe would be perfect. I'm less keen on a building just for the dream suite though.

I don't really have an area for it at the moment, but considering how we can change pretty much anything about our layouts as we wish I don't see how it could be impossible for anyone to fit in one or two extra buildings if they were to be added. I can't see any reason for my layout to ever be completely finished anyway, having a permanent island where nothing ever changes again sounds like zero fun.

That said, I do think they'll likely be added to existing buildings instead.

I hope they don't add too many buildings. I'm already afraid I won't have enough space to do what I want, and each new building would make it that much harder. I'd be fine if they added The Roost as a separate building though since I think it would look nice on my island.

Maybe turn Resident Services into a shopping mall area? Basically make it into Main Street and add new services there over time. Of course, I think an option to increase island space would be even better, but that seems unlikely.

I’m fine with it but I’d rather have a hub like the city or Mainstreet added in the game, possibly via dodo airlines.

Cafe being a separate building would be fantastic though

I have room, but just barely. Will definitely take a bit of thinking to make it look nice.

I love the idea of new buildings! I feel like my island is huge so there is definitely room and obviously the game provides ways to move things around to make room if you don’t. This makes it a lot less anxiety inducing to me than it was in New Leaf, where I ended up hating where I put Brewster’s. I really hope something like the dream suite returns - it would add a whole new flavor to my island, especially if the building looks anything like its New Leaf counterpart.

I hope they improve the hideous Nook's Cranny sign, and if they bring more buildings, that aren't also an eyesore.

Otherwise, I'm sure I could find a space for one.
