How big do you expand your house?

I wasn't crazy about the back room at first either until I got someone in the HHS who turned their back room into a "backyard" with grass and grill stuff, pools, chairs... it was so cute! Now I want to do something similar! I do agree that the 'doorway' placements are pretty inconvenient. I wish the doorways were narrower. Because it really hinders furniture placement even having a doorway there to begin with. ;w; Either way, I do intend on fully upgrading only bc I want extra rooms for themes!

My mayor's house house is fully expanded, however I likely won't do the same for my side characters. Stella isn't getting a back room or basement, and Angie isn't getting side rooms.

I'm usually not too bothered with my house, but I prefer to fully upgrade it if I can so I can fit more rooms for more epic room designs.

got all the rooms for both of my characters in my main town. it bothers me if i dont get all the rooms.

I hate the back room too. Unless I want to use the gold house exterior, I never expand fully. In some of my towns, I don't even get the second floor.

Fully expanded my mayor's house and plan to do the same for the other three characters. Not sure why people hate the back room in particular, as all the doorless doorways into the other rooms are a bit botched in my opinion.

I believe you can expand the main room 3 times as well as the first floor left room 3 times, the first floor right room 3 times, the first floor back room 3 times, the second floor 3 times, and finally the basement 3 times. It cost about a total of 7,500,000 bells or something?

Personally, I LOVE the 2nd floor... Mustn't expand it to the max, tho. I agree that some rooms just seem too big, unless you really know how to plan your house/furniture.

I expand all the way and love all the rooms! It's fun trying to decide what to make each room given that the entrances and windows make a difference to me. Originally I was going to make my entrance room a waiting room/hall but there's just not enough space. I made it into a living room and the entrances going through all the walls makes it fun to work with.

I've got two fully expanded houses in my main town and it's still not enough! I need more space, and like the new options in Happy Home Designer.

I expanded my house all the way; I have all the rooms, and all of the rooms are expanded to the max. I don't mind my house's full expansion, however I think I did regret expanding the back room when I did so, which was a pretty long time ago.

I like maxing everything out, so furnitures, flowers, expansion etcerta. My first game on wild world, I had trouble expanding since earning bells seemed a bit tougher and I fooled around on my game a lot so I didn't really play like I do on animal crossing new leaf

my mayor's house has all the rooms fully expanded apart from the basement which is medium sized. My second character's house has a main room fully expanded but all the other rooms will stay medium size. I have great plans for those rooms and they are coming along nicely.

I'm slowly getting it all the way. My main room has the ice set. My left room has the gorgeous set. My middle room has the sloppy set. My right room has the golden set (missing just golden man), my upstairs isn't very expanded. I crammed some of the jingle set in it. Then my basement is just random junk on the floor.

Normally for all my towns Ill expand all the way, but for my current town Im not quite fully expanded yet.

I expanded my house to the point where i had a immense amount of extra space. So far i need 2 more renovations and my house already had a maxed out amount of space so i can add more items and get a higher HHA Grade.

But then again, Renovation takes time.

Right now it's at the second upgrade. It's small and quaint and what I am going to stick with until I have enough to cover the full cost of the house in its entirety.

It depends what will go in the room. Some rooms look better when they are smaller, like a bathroom. I wish there were more options for which room you expand. I want one of my characters to have a tower (three floors all the way expanded with no side or back rooms). But it just isn't possible. You have to build side rooms before you can expand the top and bottom. :/

At the beginning, I always wanted my house fully expanded, because of the space. However,
since I reset my town a few times, I realize that sometimes I don't know what to do with so many
rooms/space. I don't have the inspiration to make something good with this rooms. Now in my new
town, I only have the main room, the second floor and the basement. The rooms are completely
enough for me. Also I really like it, when the main room have the two windows, which are missing,
when you build the left and right room.
