How big do you expand your house?

sort of curious as to which expansions you get to your house.
personally I don't like opening the back room because I like being able to make alcoves in the back ; v;
I use my basement for my garden room (fav room atm), left for my study (soon to be Japanese themed), right for my bath house and up stairs is just sort of my sweets set storage which will probably change sooner or later.

I expanded my house all the way. I wanted to do the HHA challenge so that's why. I also don't like the back room.

my mayors house is 100% paid off an di regret it so much. once i finish refurbishing the new set i wanna use for his home, i'm gonna block most of the rooms with furniture so you can't enter them bc i'm really sad i maxed his house out.

my other 2 villagers just have a maxed out entry room, and the upstairs bedroom. that's all i like to have.

I have a maxed out main room, upstairs, and basement. I have a one-time upgraded back room, I may max it out in the future. I love the back room but hate the side rooms, I never buy them

I find in the early stages it's easier to expand main room then get all the rooms instead of expanding one by one to the max, having done this before a few times..the basement is an important storage room to me and is usually last so I like a small basement before the end so my drawers aren't stuffed..

In my first town, I went all the way, lol. Then I began to see how it exhausting it was to go from room to room EVERY DAY with sometimes mulitple guests who have been there a hundred times already!! Now, I just get the second floor and that's it.

Most of my main houses are fully expanded, though admittedly I wish I hadn't done the back room in some of them. I really wish we could demolish and/or resize rooms once they're built. I also kind of hate that the second floor is required for the other rooms, since then I feel obligated to build a basement as well because the stairs look weird without it.

The only room I haven't got get us my basement. That is only because I have been paying for other things, I'm trying to get all the expansions so I can totally change the appearance of the outside. Also I have loads of furniture that I like to have displayed so I need all the room I can get

Exactly - I have upgraded all the way and regret it - its those requests for visits that I hate the most, having to take them into all the rooms, my heart sinks. I now refuse the requests. Hasn't stopped me getting their pic by doing this, luckily.

My house is maxed out. Normally, I don't like having a back room, but I had a lot of furniture I wanted to display. I'm really happy with my house. In fact, the back room is my favorite one because of how it's decorated. It's mostly a mix of Mush and Gorgeous furniture. I love the golds and reds together.

My mayor has a maxed out main room and medium sized upstairs & basement. The main room's an antique furniture dump that works as a living room. The upstairs will be either a kitchen or a hobby room and the basement's a stuffy and dusty bedroom. I'm not going to expand the house any further.

I'm making a second character real soon though so that I can design more rooms. I haven't decided how much I'm going to expand their house but I suspect that it'll turn out bigger than the mayor's. This way I can execute any ideas that I get that don't fit into the strict theme of my mayor's house.

My house is fully expanded because there was a lot of furniture to make room for. OuO

My second human villager will only have his house expanded once or twice, so he has one room like all the other animal villagers. I thought it'd fit into the town better than a second mansion

I would really like to just have the upstairs upgraded to the 2nd largest, for a cute bedroom

I usually just upgrade the main room and that's it, I only upgrade the other rooms when I have furniture that I want to put into my house but don't have room for.

usually full size, i have 3 houses in my towns that are full size. then i have one house in one town that is full size except for the two rooms on the sides that are at the second expansion. and in one of my houses in my other town i'm keeping the attic kind of small :>

Upstairs is my bedroom, main room is living room, right side is kitchen and left is bathroom, the attic is used as just that, have really no use for the backroom. My house isn't done yet, so I concentrate on making the other rooms complete. Maybe then I'll have an idea.

i'm trying to expand my house to be full but it's really tedious tbh and i need money
for other things as well, not just expansions! ((⚆?̫⚆‧̣̥̇ )) i've honestly never upgraded
a house to more than just a left sideroom or something simply because i've became
bored or something!

I'm not sure yet. I might expand it all the way, since I have a lot of room ideas, but I could leave out one or two rooms. I also like to keep my upstairs and eventual other rooms 6x6, because it's cosier. It depends on what I'm going to do with the room though.
