Where have you been on your holidays to or where are you planning to go in the future?

I've been to Spain, Holland and Germany with my family and to France with my school (Wasn't really a holiday, but it felt like one.) I was meant to be going to Russia next year with my College but that got cancelled due to 'lack of interest' but on a positive note I might be going to Japan with my Aunt after I have left college as a part of my gap year! (I might visit Fukuoka since from LinandKo's vlogs it appears to be really cool! I really want to go to the Pokemon store and that video game shop!)

I've never been anywhere nice on vacation. The closest thing I've ever gotten was going to Kings Island for one day over summer break a few times. ): I never got to go to anywhere like disney world. I've never even seen a body of water big enough that I can't see the other side.

Yay having little money. Didn't help that I lived in a school system where most of the families were upper middle class/rich. Got to hear about how everyone went to so many cool places over the summer. |:

I know how you feel, I was about 6 the last I went abroad with my parents*, I only got to go to France with my school as it was one of those trips that will 'aid the student with their coursework' and my grandparents were going to pay for my Russia trip as a 17th Birthday and Christmas present... After school holidays all I really hear about was how amazing *Insert country here* was, doesn't really help that I'm one of those people that buys gifts for people when I go on holiday (To somewhere in England) yet I never get gifts in return :/

*EDIT: I can't remember anything about those holidays, I only know I've been to those places through photographs. I don't see the point in taking children abroad when they're at an age when they aren't going to remember it...

My family doesn't travel much, but I've been all around my home province (Nova Scotia) and I've visited the the provinces bordering it. I would love to travel somewhere that requires an airplane to get there. I would love to go to Germany or Japan for a visit, but I won't be going anywhere for awhile yet.

There were a couple times during school where I had the opportunity to travel to other places like that. Our big eighth grade field trip was to Boston, Massachusetts to tour around the historical places in the city. In my second year of French class we were going to go on a similar French field trip. I was forbidden from going to either by my parents since the students were expected to hand in a lot of money along with their permission slips in order to go. Mom and my stepdad were unwilling to save up any money to allow me to go on either trip. Luckily I didn't care about going to France but I was one of less than ten students in all of eighth grade who didn't get to go to Boston. |:

I remember getting in trouble with a teacher because I tore up the permission slip they gave us about the Boston trip the moment they handed it to me. Mom had already told me I couldn't go so I'd got frustrated, lol.

The funny thing is that now I don't even care about traveling or anything. I'm completely content in staying home and not traveling very far from it. The only traveling I plan on doing from here on out is visiting my boyfriend in Virginia in about a year, and then in another year moving down there to stay with him! :)

I'll be going to France, London, then Germany for a 2 week trip once summer comes! It's a trip my German teacher sets up so it's supposed to be fun, but it should also be educational. He gives us free time so it's not constantly learning. I'm excited for it cause the trip is right after I graduate from high school :)

The furthest I've been is to Disney World, which is like a thirteen hour drive.
I don't even know how many times I've been in my life. Like.. probably 15+ now. I'm going back next year for a family reunion.

But I'd like to go a lot of places. Not sure if I'll ever be able to though.

My family isn't really able to travel much outside of bordering states, and that's where all of our "vacations" have been. They dont normally feel like vacations though xD
The last time we went on a "real" vacation was when I was 7. We went to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. The main reason for going was for a family reunion, which we went to, but most of the time outside of that was spent at the beach. It was a lot of fun :)
My parents have really wanted to go on another vacation for a while, and they're pretty much prepared to go on one this summer, but my mom hasn't been able to get any time off work for a vacation. So far she's only been able to take off a day or two. She's still trying to get the time off, but so far it doesn't seem like it's going to happen.
They were planning on going to Florida, too.
Oh well.

I have never been outside of Canada, or even many places IN Canada for that matter. I have still had AMAZING vacations and holidays. Ever since I was a kid my family has taken me Rockclimbing and Camping. Squamish, B.C. was my favorite. There was a river right next to our tent and we had a closed off area. Me and my younger brother spent basically the whole time in the river. There were large rocks you could sit on and a tiny waterfall. It was beautiful.

Camping is cheap and there is nothing like cooking on an open fire and livin in the woods lol. I can't wait for this summer to go again :)
