Yeah, sorry to call you out like this... /j

Have you made any new years resolutions? Have you been able to bring your goals to fruition one quarter into 2025, or at least start them? Or are they going to be 2026 resolutions?

I won't list all of my goals because some are quite personal, I made a long list and half of them are on the right path but the other ones... Yeah, that's for next year haha. One of my resolution this year was to start exercising, but since I already slowly started implementing working out into my life in 2024, I was able to keep the momentum going into 2025 and I can proudly say one quarter in that I am starting to become some kind of gym bro lmao.

I don’t make resolutions, so I’m unable to provide a solid answer. I try to keep personal goals to myself. From personal experience, I think it’s better that way to avoid judgement from others

All I’ll say is that I’m happy with where I’m at in life. I’m in a whole lot better position than I was last year, mentally and financially. It’s been a good year for me.

Honestly, I've forgotten most of what I said I'd do for 2025 resolutions, so I think that's pretty telling...

The playing video games more regularly? Nope, still disjointed sessions that could be a month or so apart. The working out more? Half-check, I do it about once a week (separate from PE class) but I wanted to do it more. That's pretty much all I remember saying I'd do, but I know there was way more. At this point, my resolution should be to stop saying I'll do things that I know I won't 😆

I can't actually remember what mine were lol, I think it was probably go to the gym more and so far I'm averaging like twice a month so I'm gonna go with no, I have not been holding to them lmao

My New Year's resolution was to focus on becoming a happier, more positive person, staying dedicated to my goals, and avoiding the cycle of depression. I've been making an effort, but it’s not always easy. I often find myself slipping back into old habits, feeling overwhelmed, and struggling to stay motivated. I have to remind myself that growth isn’t linear, and that I have to keep moving forward

My "reading 50 books" resolution seems to be progressing nicely since I just reached 30 books read this year. At the rate I'm going, I may get to 100 by New Year's.

I haven't made any progress on my resolution to cut back on caffeine. I still drink way too much coffee. It feels like an addiction, and I just can't stop.

the only one i made was to read 50 books by the end of the year, and i think i'm making decent progress with it?? i tend to read like three books in a week and then absolutely nothing for a month, then repeat the cycle, so who knows if it'll happen or not lol.

I think I only made 1 resolution (to learn to code/use with renpy to make games) and so far I've been a failure 😮‍💨
Just too much going on and barely any time/energy to actually begin..maybe I'll fare better later on the year, siigh

Yes, amazingly I have. I don’t normally make or keep resolutions so I kept it simple and easy (more water, less wine 😊) I have been taking my water bottle to work every day (and finishing it) and I haven’t had any wine since New Years Eve.

I made a whole bunch with the idea of doing a New Year's resolution bingo card, and a lot of them are pretty attainable or silly fun things anyway since I try not to stress over resolutions too much, but I'm doing pretty well I think! ^^ I've done eight so far but idk if I'll actually get bingo. One of them was just to try bubble tea, and I actually tried a few kinds and found out what types I like! but lowkey that was still kinda big for me, because I had to try a new restaurant to do it and going to New Places is scary LOL
I also finished reading Kimi ni Todoke finally, so if I finish one more manga series out, that'll be another one complete!

I've also been pushing myself a lot and hitting a few of my goals for self-improvement, and I've also been working consistently towards my language learning goal! I'm still on-track to complete that one by September-ish I think 👀

I didn't even make any. Not really a fan of the idea. If nothing comes to mind, then why should I? I shouldn't force myself to come up with something that I probably won't be able to do just because everyone else is doing it. I have enough stress in my life already.

Edit: I believe the last time I bothered was in 2022 because I thought of one important thing I needed to start doing. I didn't make up any other goals, just that one.

I'm still trying to do mine. I haven't given up. I want to write more, get better at art, and finally fix my basement. None of them are things that can be done immediately. It's taking time.

I wanted to get back into regular exercise but right now I'm not allowed to do anything that may be strenuous for another couple of weeks >:[

Aside from that though I'm reading a *bit* less than I wanted to but I can blame work for that.

I don't know what were in particular, but my goal is always to get better and I'm still working on that 🌱🚿
I think another one is to start journaling which I have failed at still. I still want to get there, but for me, it's hard.
This site is probably the closest I've ever been to that goal sadly.
