I will say that there is one thing I'm not particularly comfortable with, which is why I started out the post saying that it's a mostly welcome update. I noticed the mention of prohibiting political discussion. I can understand some of the appeal of this, but we are also in unprecedented times and being able to spread awareness of issues that can affect, have affected, and/or will affect members of the community and/or their loved ones feels valuable and important to me. From matters like US program cuts that can affect affordable food, housing, health care etc., to tariffs, to the censoring of the Internet like in the UK's Online Safety Act and which may come to the US in the forms of various bills like the Kids Online Safety Act. Heck, the Online Safety Act even directly affected the forum by making images hosted of imgur not work properly on the forum for members living in the UK. I know politics are a minefield, especially now, but prohibition feels like throwing the baby out with the bath water to me. I don't want to derail the thread though, so I might have to Contact the Staff if I think of more to say about it, though I've basically conveyed the gist of it. I'd also encourage anyone else with thoughts on this matter to follow suit and Contact the Staff (or whatever other method Staff prefers) instead of making this thread devolve into chaos.
