Help me choose - Kiki or Marina?

EDIT: I’ve decided to keep Kiki, at least for now! This made me realise that I’m more attached to her than I thought haha :’)

I made the sad decision to let go of Zucker today for a long-winded bunch of reasons. He will be missed ;w;

I feel like another octopus might help fill the emotional void he left. I have Marina’s amiibo card, but if I did move her in, I’d be replacing my other sweet/normal villager, Kiki, who I already have an attachment to. I have too many cat villagers lol, and I do love Marina, but if I changed my mind I don’t have Kiki’s amiibo card to move her back in. :’)

Who would you pick in this situation? ❤

Do you have a problem with the overpopulation of cats on your island? If the answer is yes, then you might consider letting Kiki go, for variety's sake.

This can only be a problem if you end up regretting this decision (as cat villagers are numerous, which means it's harder to find the specific cat you want, if you go island hopping searching for her). However, you seem to miss having an octopus around, so Marina would be a good addition; even better if you like villagers who sign often, as she's ways singing.

Thanks for the info! That does help, I love how Kiki is always reading in my garden (we’re next door neighbours and she always comes over lol) and I would miss that tbh :’)

I won't lie, I personally prefer Marina over Kiki because I just prefer her design. I love cats and octopi both very much. However, I voted for Kiki to stay because you seem to have way more reasons for keeping Kiki. If you do have too many cats, I would consider booting another one if you REALLY want Marina.

I'm very very biased, she was the first villager I ever talked to and ever since I have worshipped at her feet lol. she introduced me to this forum when she left my town and I died of sadness, came here to try to get her back. I love her endlessly, she's so nostalgic to me. of course, other than nostalgia, she's just a really neat villager. I feel like there aren't that many "just plain black" villagers and I personally love em

marina also carries a lot of nostalgia for me, so I absolutely would understand if you went for marina. I had to make the hard decision to kick out Kiki today in favour of Tia. It was hard to see her go but I gave her to someone who'll take good care of her ;;

You can always invite Marina at any time if you ever change your mind.

You must’ve already made your decision by now but I love Marina more for a normal personality. I prefer my cats Peppy. They’re just more expressive if they’re under that personality. The design suits the personality best. Normal cats are wasted potential although they’re cute, they’re barely entertaining that way.
