The Barista
This is pretty cool.
This is exactly my take on it. As long as they’re actually doing what they say they are going to do, then I don’t see any problems with this. Call it whatever you want, but if it ends up helping people who need to survive then I don’t see anything wrong with it. Though, as someone who majored in business, I find this concept very unheard of and... unique. I suppose it’s just one way companies are trying to survive right now though.
I suppose some people that posted in this thread don't want to hear about Chevrolet using Animal Crossing to promote it's new Corvette.
Without "PR Stunts," a good portion of you wouldn't have had the experience of interacting with Sanrio characters in NL. We also wouldn't have the camping sign or fortune cookie cart in NH. I'm 100% a proponent of companies using AC as a way to get their message out, just as long as if/when say farming becomes available, tomatoes don't get smashed, bottled, and called Heinz 57.
Yeah,I read the article and looked at the original Tweet Chevy posted to advertise this thing and it's just about putting Chevy crap in your Animal Crossing house. That's it.At least they could make some kind of donation for every time somebody downloads their QR codes.Ah,well I'm a Ford guy anyways.at least hellman's and gilette were for good causes, and didn't ask you to basically advertise their product!
Hmmm... how much is virtual real estate worth? If I make my town a chevvy billboard, would they pay me for ad revenue?![]()
PR, no, because Build-A-Bear and Nintendo would both make money in that venture. In that case, it's just Build-A-Bear making officially licensed Nintendo products.i remember there having a thread/discussion about animal crossing x build-a-bear as well. wouldn’t that be a PR stunt?
