whenever there's diniguan in our family: we fight for it (: eat fast or lose out... first come first serve.. like with sisig and sinigang

When I visited my boyfriend we had some Vietnamese food and noodles on July 4th. they offered pig's blood to me but I said no but my boyfriend had it. Apparently it tastes good but I almost got sick at the thought of eating it. lol

No offense but I would NEVER try that just knowing what it's made out of. It's the same reason why I would never try liver... just why would I want to eat cooked blood and a toxin bag? D:

Yeah it sounds pretty revolting to me and I would probably never have it, even if it tastes nice. I'm definitely not that adventurous with trying new foods!

I wish I could try diniguan, but the smell of it alone gives me a headache >.< It sucks, especially since my mom makes it a lot :x

that's so strange, i hadn't heard of this until just a few days ago when my parents were in spain, apparently they thought it would be like black pudding (i don't know if that's a known dish in america though)

Never had it before, and I'm a vegetarian, so I don't think that I'd ever eat it. I don't really understand why people think it's gross, though, or at least more gross than meat and such.

I'm really curious as to how cooked blood tastes now. Does it differ between animals? The only thing I associate with blood is the metallic smell/taste, so I'm wondering if it's still there or if it is diminished or... what?

Oooo
I love this with bun rieu and rice porridge.

Sorta. I eat Pig's blood but never tried it shaped as a tofu.

the taste is quite unique actually (: and I can't necessarily describe it as it slightly differs depending on how it's cooked. i will say however, that to me, it tastes nothing like metal. the best way out of the various ways ive eaten it is: diniguan (dish with pork and pig blood)

(:
