Has it ever taken you a LONG time to get past something you're stuck on, and then win you win it's close and/or exciting? A couple minutes ago I was playing SMTIV and facing the Minotaur for like, the 100th time. I went back and fused demons that can use SE ice attacks against it, and then went back to the entrance. After about 50 more tries I finally got lucky enough to defeat it with ice and by the poison one of my demons inflicted on it. I'm really glad I didn't give up on it. Anyone else ever had a close win like this?

If you've ever played League of Legends, there's going to be so many times things like this will happen >_>

Coming back from a losing game is so satisfying, considering how hard it is to recover from a bad game. Especially when they push all your towers and get to your nexus, but the enemy team messes up before winning the game and dies, giving you the chance to push all the way across the map to their nexus and win the game

Ehh, and then there's just fighting games in general, like Blazblue. Almost dying with the enemy at full health, then you go pro and win without ever getting touched once

The most close/exciting win I have had in a game (that I can remember) has to be my battle against Emerald Weapon in FFVII. I had beaten Ruby Weapon quicker than I thought I was going to and (admittedly) got a bit over-confident. I thought that Emerald Weapon would be just as (surprisingly) easy. I was wrong. I had spent hours upon hours grinding in order to master the right materia and level my characters and obviously spent a great deal of time trying to get a gold chocobo to get my KoR materia. I had also steamlined my stategy at the battle square in the Golden Saucer and spent a long time working on getting the items I needed to buy with the BP I earned.

I did manage to beat Emerald Weapon the first time I tried (with everything I needed, I had had my ass handed to me a couple of times earlier before I was fully equipped.) but it was extremely close and I have my Phoenix materia to thank for my victory (brought me back to life when I died pretty much at the very end of the battle).

I'm still proud of my achievement and it's moments like that which keep me hooked on gaming.

Oh yeah, love those moments in RPGs and in shooters. when you're down to the wire on health, items and *magic term here* and you barely come out on top after losing the others. Or in Battlefield when you're playing Rush/Conquest and you're down to the last few tickets and you come out by one or by keeping the MCOM armed.

I just had another one. I was facing Medusa on SMTIV. I used next to boost my demon's attack. Then I started increasing the attacks with one demon, while force attacking with the others. Eventually, by the time Medusa went to the red zone my only party member left was my Zhu Tun She. He kept blocking her gun attacks because he was immune to them. Then she lowered him to 3 HP with a regular attack. He kept attacking while she kept throwing useless attacks. He jumped out of the ashes and clawed at her one more time, defeating her. My heart was beating really fast while I moved into the next world.

I was playing SSBB with my brother who's insanely good. And I picked Lucas, and I actually won. It was by a close margin, i.e. we both exploded and I guess I had the last stock. :U

On Counter Strike Source in countless occasions, I've got average HP against 4 Terrorists w/ their Bomb just planted- quick aiming + clever footwork & I secured the win. Close-calls in gaming are so tense & rewarding. I can also recall playing Madden w/ a cousin; dangerous passes & missed tackles, games that came down to the wire. ^_^

So many times, in all kind of games, I even lost once in Hide and Seek in ACNL, by 1 SECOND!, I?m serious, I was right beside the villager and just about to press A when the timer went to zero, I was like FUUUUUUUUUU.... xD

On Search & Destroy on Modern Warfare 2, I got an ace and a clutch only knifing, I don't think I could ever do that again

TF2 match. My opponent was at my last checkpoint and I died :(

20 seconds later—twenty brutal seconds later—i managed to pull off and take the cake! :)

The timer was at 0:20 btw

I play so many video games that its bit of common to win at boundaries of seconds and that's what maintains the interest and adventure in the game.

Beating Kotolos in Skyward Sword. That **** scared me watching trailers. When I knew I was about to fight him, I waited for 5 minutes on Ghirahim's dialogue pre-battle. I didn't want it to start, I was so nervous. It took way longer than expected and it drained me of a lot of hearts, mainly because I was nervous and kept shaking the remote around. I did it first time though. Such an accomplishment for me, I'd fight him again now :)

Every boss battle in the Zeldas I've played, also Kingdom Hearts, also Kid Icarus. Basically everything as I'm really bad at games.
