During 2020 when Super Mario 3D All-Stars came out, I asked for it for Christmas that year and my mom was able to get a pre-order off of Amazon (my family starts buying Christmas presents in like September) but when the package arrived, apparently the delivery driver ripped the game out of the package and just left the empty envelope on our front porch. Have you ever had to deal with porch pirates before?

I haven't had to deal with it. The neighborhood I reside in is a nice one. Sometimes packages will get delivered to the wrong address since there are three buildings with the same address here, but the neighbors will always bring it back.

Not a porch pirate since I live in an apartment, but I had a neighbour steal a package from me last year. I ordered a ring for my mom as an early birthday/Christmas present, and left instructions for it to be delivered to my mailbox instead of dropped off in front of my door since I knew nobody would be home on the estimated delivery date. I checked the tracking for it morning of and saw that it would be delivered that day as planned, and then wasn't able to check the tracking again until that afternoon when I was on my way home, which is when I saw the ring had been delivered... and dropped off in front of my door. 4 hours earlier. 🙃

The package was no longer in front of my door when I got home. Nobody else was home yet, so nobody had brought it inside. No one had moved it to my mailbox or given it to my building manager or anyone for safekeeping. I'm not sure who stole it since there's no surveillance in this building, but it's been almost a year and I'm still so mad LOL. The part that sucks the most is whenever I see one of my neighbours has a package in front of their door, I knock on their door so they'll know it's there and bring it inside before it gets stolen, and then they go and steal my package. LOL

I was thankfully able to get a refund and got my mom a different present she liked just as much, but still..... thief when I catch you thief

Our aunt opens our packages. Or she takes and loses them. They go to her property first so if we want anything we have to get it before she does. That includes our mail.

It's not very respectful. I feel like she takes advantage of us being family. If the property were being rented out to anybody else I do not feel she would do this.

Thankfully no, Canada post just doesn't delivering my packages. (Last time it was a book by some old author nobody is reading because it's hard to read, I wonder what happened to that book....) I would be so mad if it were the case, you can be sure the next box on the porch would be cat poop, skunk pee and fine glitters.
