I haven't gotten around to the update yet, but I'm wondering if anyone has tested whether the update fixes ACNL's stupid requirements for placing bridges since that is something that annoys a ton of people and could be easily fixed. So I'm somewhat hopeful that bridge placement was fixed during the update and would like to hear if it's part of the update.

Hum, I'm not sure what to tell you since I'm definitely not going to update, but... I never noticed anything strange placing bridges in my town  What are those "annoying requirements" you are talking about, please?

You can't have any PWPs or buildings nearby where you want to build your bridge. For example, a house could be 5 spaces away from the river and Isabelle still won't let you place your bridge there. I wrote a guide on it that's in my signature.

once upon a time I built a bridge. a year later a dream villager moved near the bridge. then I finally got the stone bridge option. I got rid of the old bridge but couldn't rebuild a stone bridge at the same spot cuz a villager's house was in the way. asdfasdfasdf
