hacked villagers

hacked villagers as in changing design are specific to that person's game, aren't they? i follow a person on tumblr who makes a lot of villager designs and it's really cool, i wish some of them would be real villagers tbh

oh, looks like the hacked villagers were already explained. i was gonna say that only the person who hacked the villager can see the hacks as it's just ROM hacking. didn't know other hackers can also see it, though....i'm way too lazy to hack a villager so i don't have the software & programs myself

some of the hacked villagers i've seen on tumblr a long time ago are pretty cool.

Yeah but hacking can mess up your 3ds making the game crash or if you download a virus when looking for a software to edit villagers it can make your 3ds basically a brick and Nintendo is banning some hackers from going online on their hacked console

i don't believe you would even be able to find them in a dream town since they have specific textures that your game may not be able to read. you CAN hack your TPC icon which everyone else can see, so i'm not entirely sure??

I saw someone working on a town with all different colored unicorns so I know it definitely can be done. I have no idea if the hacked villagers appear in dream towns though? I?ve seen plenty of hacked towns but hacked villagers seem to be more rare.

Hacking villagers seems like so much fun, but it's also a bit of a process to install the software, if I recall. So huge props to anyone who has both the art skills and the tech know-how to pull it off!

I think that hacked villagers only appear in the village they were created for, though I wouldn't be surprised if others with the software could see them. Otherwise they just appear as they normally would, as their non-hacked selves. So it's not dangerous to anyone, except maybe someone who wants to try it themselves but does so irresponsibly.

Ahh, I'm so happy to see that some of my custom villagers have found their way over here on the forums! If you've seen any pictures of custom villagers floating around online, there's a preeeetty good chance that I was the person behind it (seriously, I've made so many villagers over the couple of years. Like, more than one person should ever reasonably do). I recently just started getting back into designing villagers and am still posting them on my tumblr (silvershroud.tumblr.com) in case anyone here is interested in having a look! ^.^
