have yall ever seen a hacked villager in a dream town or something? they're def really rare to find but i've seen pics everywhere on tumblr, and it's really cool. i kinda wanna make a horror town with all of the villagers to be hacked and have blood on them, it would be interesting lool but again the process for to hack and change a villagers look is complicated af

I've actually never seen a hacked villager. I didn't know people did that. I've only seen hacked towns.
I follow a blog that does this and they say that the only way of seeing the hacked villager is if you have a hacked console with whatever program they use installed too. If you don't and go to their town in real time or see their dream address all you'll see is the original villagers, non-hacked.
you mean custom villagers? i think they're really cool, and they definitely take a lot of time to make (here is someone's tutorial in creating one omg)
i'd totally commission someone to make one that looks like my dog, except you can't adopt them out without them reverting back to their original villager file :')

i don't know the proper name for the hacked/custom villagers lool ty and that sucks i probably would do the same too! i've seen a lot of custom villagers hacked like pokemon creatures! i haven't found any custom villagers yet that i was like omggg wow that's really pretty

Wow never knew this was possible! While I like the creativity I honestly think people should stick to fandrawn villagers rather than customizing and hacking Nintendo's games like that. Seems degrading to me. Maybe Nintendo should make a game where you can customize villagers?

I think it's amazing! I might be the odd one out, but I really don't see a problem with hacking because of things like this! It opens a whole world of creativity and fun that can be had. I love going to hacked dream towns and seeing all of it. I think it's a fun thing to do and I don't mind it. I've never seen any of these "hacked" or custom villagers but I'm about to go through and see what it's all about.
I haven't looked for hacked villagers, I did see a photo of one once, I think it was a fluffy dog - looked lovely, impressed with the quality.
Not sure they can even be placed into a game, possibly, as the design would be pasted over a legit villager. It was done in acww.
BUT & its a big but - its great so long as they stay in the town where they were made or go to town which wants them.
Can they move between games?
If so, then there is a chance you get one when you don't want one (via streetpass, or more likely via another's town's void).
I know, if you get one and don't want it, move out with a card but some players don't want hacked items to enter their games.
Its a matter of choice. Shades of HDLC that spread through accf towns.

If I had the time and energy in my life currently to have wooper in axolotl form I would absolutely positutely do it. It seems too much work though to accomplish this ;-;
