GOOD NEWS: Nintendo said they will restock Amiibo cards!

Depending on how many they make, Ebay scalpers may still be in business, especially if Raymonds card is hard to find or in limited availability.
Then again, all we need is 1 Raymond card to get a binary dump of the code to start making homemade Raymond amiibos.

iirc the amiibo card packs were around 6-10 bucks depending where you purchased them from

Hold on, I'm not sure if this is really new news...? The article only mentions Japan and I thought I'd heard about the cards being restocked in Japan months ago so I looked it up and yep, I can find articles from February discussing it, along with an article from 3 weeks ago saying the cards were reprinted in Japan on March 20th but have now sold out and will be reprinted again in June. Which is good news, I suppose, but when I saw the title of this I was really hoping they'd announced something for other regions

I'd love it if they introduced new character cards (Like Daisy Mae, Flick, C.J, etc.) and the new villagers, but since it's just restocking I doubt it (Especially since it seems to only be Japan at the moment.)Hold on, I'm not sure if this is really new news...? Yup, whoever did that article mislead people with the title. It should say "Nintendo of Japan".

i hope nintendo of america catches on to japan and rereleases them all, because OMG I WANT THEM ALL!!

I had bought some off Amazon (series 2-4) for around $33, and to me, that was a lot 
but I also don’t know how much they typically sell for. I’m thinking I made the right choice in buying them, because now they cost over $60

i think i read somewhere that the original sale price was like 5 or so per pack of 6? crazy prices nowThat’s awesome news even if it was only announced in Japan! ☺

don't worry, i'm pretty sure they've been going for high prices for a long while now due to low stock since there wasn't a new game out that was super popular to give them reason to restock. as long as you got some characters you like or you felt like it's worth it it doesn't matter the price you paid!Welp. I almost got excited. At this point I doubt we’ll ever see them again outside of Japan (please prove me wrong NoA and NoE, please).
If they do release a new series for the new villagers and NPCs, even in only Japan, it would help the crazy Raymond situation we are in right now.

Like someone said, once Raymond's NFC data is out, everyone will be able to scan him without the need of spending 50$. NFC tags are cheaper.

And, if you are on Android, you don't even need to buy the NFC tags...
