Only have the slingshot myself. Less than 10 breaks away from the golden axe though.

is there a way to check it? is it on the nook miles thing specifically?

Yes exactly! I'm at a point where the 2,500 bells is nothing and I enjoy carrying around the cute designs so I just purchase my tools most of the time especially since hardwood and wood is annoying to obtain. Rather just spend the bells.
It would be nice if they added an actual use. Like I thought the golden axe would be able to make those tree stump designs but discovered they don't exist in this game aha. Maybe the golden net/rod could make it easier to catch bugs/fish (when you carry net maybe they don't scare as easier and for rod you can be a bit slow when you get a bite or just have them both increase spawn rate of rare bug/fish). Shovel no idea. Slingshot could easily do the triple shot from previous games. (Or just make them all unbreakable)

We can only hope to see them in a future update. I like your cool ideas of making them relevant to own. But honestly, the "unbreakable" part is best feature for me. I don't have to bring a spare for emergencies.

exactly at all of these. they all don't even have special advantages aside from the golden watering can being able to produce golden roses, but even that you CAN get it with the rain. i heard it first from watching a youtube video and didn't believe it until it happened to my island and i was like what even are the point of these golden tools. we can use longer yes, but not worth wasting golden nuggets over. at least the one we get at nooks have unique cute designs, and we don't have to waste golden nuggets.

@Underneath The Stars Unfortunately there's no clear way to see how many axe breaks you have. There's only the 'Trashed Tools' nook miles achievements that show how many tools you've broken total.

I made an educated guess of around 10 as I've been breaking multiple axes per day.
