When I’m at Starbucks, I get a Caffe Misto or Flat White. If it’s hot outside, an iced mocha, but to me that’s not really coffee lol.
However, in the winter I’ll get a Peppermint Mocha. The PSL I’ve had before, and I like it, but it’s not a favorite…despite my love of pumpkin spice-flavored things.
I usually either get a latte with soy milk or a matcha with soy milk. The coffee shop that I go to has really good quality soy milk compared to others. Before I started soy I got regular milk but now I am cutting down on dairy. Little did I know that I would actually like soy milk just as much as regular milk.
If I'm playing it safe, I'll get an Americano. If I want something more interesting, I'll get a seasonal drink as long as I can swap out dairy milk for oat milk.
My absolute favourite drink when it's available is the Lavender Oat Latte that Starbucks released this past spring
I usually get a large black cold brew. If I already had caffeine that day then I get a black iced decaf americano. Starbucks’ iced decaf americano is really bad so I usually add some vanilla and milk to it.
I typically only drink coffee during the Autumn months and it's always pumpkin spice latte. That said, if there's a holiday flavor that catches my interest in December, I've gotten some of those in the past few years as well.
I only order my coffee hot since I'm not all that fond of iced coffee. They're a nice way to warm up in that cooler/cold parts of the year and I feel that they kind of enhance the seasons as well.
The first kind I ever had was a mocha macchiato, and I thought that was good, so maybe I'd try that again sometime.
Usually when I want energy back I get a caramel-flavored coffee drink from a local place nearby (not Starbucks). It's about the only thing that'll energize me anymore. Hot coffee doesn't do anything for me now I'm afraid!
During the week, I just run the Keurig at home and drink my coffee black. If I wake up late or don't have time, I'll get a iced mocha from Jack In The Box or a Nitro Cold Brew from Starbucks because they're close to my job.
On days I don't work, sometimes I'll go out and try different coffee places. I generally go for sweet coffee drinks or seasonal drinks when I do this, since I pretty much just drink black coffee all week. Recently, I had a maple pancake latte from a local coffee joint and it was amazing.
I typically have mutiple go-to coffee orders that change with the season.
Spring - Hazelnut Iced Coffee (with cream + liquid sugar)
I have learned my lesson when ordering Dunkins in Boston, MA. So, regardless of where I’m at, I ALWAYS ORDER liquid cane sugar. I live in Ohio, for reference. But every single time I travel to MA, and order Dunkin, they let the sugar SIT at the bottom of the iced coffee!!! That NEVER happens where I live. So ever since, I always get liquid cane sugar.
Summer - Caramel Iced Coffee (also with cream + sugar). Sometimes I will get a frappuccino or cold brew ^^
Autumn - PUMPKIN SPICE ICED COFFEE BABY!!! If I’m feeling fancy I’ll get a cold brew with the pumpkin foam ^^
Winter - Toasted White Chocolate Iced Latte OR just an iced coffee (with cream + sugar HAHAHAHA)
I’m so excited for winter to roll around. I miiiiissssss the toasted white chocolate flavor SO MUCh!!
