I've always mained Kirby in Smash Bros since the N64. I just love the character, though he seems a little OP in the new game...Or maybe I'm just really that good xD
I've always liked Sheik but it's only since Smash 3DS she's become my secondary character thanks to her being separated from Zelda. I never used the Zelda form and it was an inconvenience whenever I would accidentally transform. Not to mention the benefit of the extra down+B skill and proper balance of the character now that she's 'just Sheik'.
Yoshi has always been one of my favorite Nintendo characters but it's not until the new Smash that I've enjoyed playing as him. Whether he's way more powerful than he was, or just that he's more refined this time around, I dunno. He's just more fun to use now.
One character that has come out of the shadows and quickly won me over are 'Rosalina and Luma'. At first, I tried them and instantly decided to never use them again. I had another shot with them though and used them quite a bit and I must say, they're one of the most unique characters on the roster with a pretty high skill level to use them as intended.
I'm still getting better with them but as it stands, I'm finding it easier and easier to use Rosalina and Luma as two entirely separate characters at the same time, having them both at different sides of the map fighting two entirely different opponents rather than most other players I've seen who just try to use Luma only and keep Rosalina away from the fight.
They're by far my favorite newcomer...Sheik better watch out, her secondary place is in danger xD

I play as Ike mostly. Because I love Fire Emblem really. I haven`t unlocked everybody yet though, so maybe it is still going to change. I still am finding out who works best for me. All I know is I want my main character for using in Smash to be one I`m a fan of in their regular games as well.

Marth (not likely, I prefer Ike over him)

Yoshi
Link (not likely, tried him out yet, like him but not that much

Donkey Kong seems slowish to me)

I personally have a thing for Fire Emblem characters, too. I don't know, they're just so.... strong and manageable. Easy to move around with them.

urf, i'm not. It's true, though, except for ike. It's kinda hard to move around with him, but lucina is extremely light weight and easy to move around with.

Her smash attacks are slow, but they have some amazing range. Even if you don't get hit, you'll still be pushed away quite a bit. Palutena is all about range.
