Mario Favorite Mario character?

Yoshi (because of the Yoshi's Island games) and Bowser (because of SPM and TTYD). I even use Bowser as my secondary Mario Kart main (baby peach is my main), and will probably main him in Jamboree when I get it.

Bowser has been my favorite video game character for as long as I can remember. I love it when he's playable, and especially appreciate games where he gets to be a party member rather than the main villain. That's not to say that I don't appreciate how cool he is as the ultimate final boss, but I can't help but smile whenever I can help him get to win, especially when he can beat those pesky Mario brothers! (I like Mario, too, and I know that Bowser and the bros are secretly besties, of course)

I've been fond of Waluigi since his debut back in Mario Tennis on the Nintendo 64. I like his characterization, I like the eccentric and fun mannerisms they've given him in sports games in the past, I like his overall design and he gets bonus points since purple is my favorite color. I wish Nintendo would give him some spotlight in non-spots/party/kart side games and feel like they ought to use Wario and Waluigi as playable characters in a mainline Mario platformer sometime instead of the different colored Toads.

Other favorites include:

- King Boo since I really like the original Luigi's Mansion, he's neat and I like to play as him in Mario Kart.

- Boos. The design is good, I like spooky stuff and the way they get shy and hide their face when you look at them is cute and endearing.

- Dry Bones because spooky scary skeletons are good guys as far as I'm concerned.

- Professor E. Gadd for much the same reason as King Boo, affection for Luigi's Mansion. He's cool.

- Kamek. I dunno, I just like the little wizard.

- Rosalina. Mostly due to design since I've yet to play the Mario Galaxy games to see her full personality. She's neat.

- Daisy. "HI, I'M DAISY." Yeah, you are, and you rule.

- Peach is good too. While I prefer Rosalina and Daisy, I just vibe with all of the ladies.

- Luigi because, as someone who has never been good at platforming and who doesn't really play mainline Mario games very often, I just kinda don't really resonate with Mario that much and gravitate more toward Luigi. I like his characterization and I also like that he keeps finding himself the victim of ghostly hijinks.

Gonna go with Waluigi. Waluigi is so popular is because he's kind of an underdog, in a way. Nintendo never does anything significant with him other than slap him into the spin-offs.

Even though he's a cranky underhanded jerk, I can't help but cheer for him because I want to see him get his dues.

Other than that, I'm a sucker for comical 'villain' types, and Waluigi hits that tone well. Being so gangly, he's just plain funny.
