Favorable Politicians

I want to see if we can have a discussion about politicians without being at each other's throats. Then I recalled having to endure paparazzi pics of Boris Johnson in beach attire no too long ago. I didn't go looking for such things.

Is there a politician that you would be able to endure the site of in beach attire, that wouldn't make you reach for the eye bleach?

Before this turns into a body shaming thread: when you strip away how evil so many of them are, they're just normal people with normal people bodies. So yeah I'd say I could stand the sight of most of them.

Kind of an odd question I don't generally look at people when I'm on the beach? I tend to just pay attention to where I'm going while trying to gaze out into the ocean. Or looking at/talking to who I'm with.

If there were, for some reason, some high profile politician on a public beach that I'm at, I definitely wouldn't stare or linger, that would be rude.. staring is rude, no matter who it is or what they look like

Lol what an odd topic. Idk. Not something I have thought about.. I suppose they would blend in with the rest of the population of their country at the beach doing normal human beachy things. Yes.
Now, would I pitch my beach umbrella beside them? Probably not lol. I'd stand far off and probably watch them like a weirdo while eating my beach sandwich or sipping my beach drink wondering what they are doing there, if I noticed them to begin with.

I don't know, I don't go to the beach often, and even when I'm there I don't look at other people, so I doubt I'd look at politicians. I'm there to enjoy the sand and catch some rays, and that's about it!

Regardless of any of his actual politics, I'm sure he wouldn't mind a nice beach day without paparazzi. It's probably not that fun to have your pictures posted publicly and have other people comment publicly on your body!

I'm not too concerned what a politician is wearing as long as it's generally appropriate in public, regardless of whether they're at the beach or elsewhere.

I’m demisexual/romantic so I can’t imagine being attracted to any of them lol

ie: I never go in public and look at someone for any extended period because I think they’re pretty. I don’t care, I wouldn’t care, I don’t get attracted that way and if I do it’s buried subconsciously in my art / fictional crushes instead.

Also demisexual! Not finding other people even remotely attractive is the norm for me. People in beachwear I'm not attracted to are just people in beachwear.

There's plenty of politicians I find absolutely repulsive, but that's because they're heinous people lol.

I had a crush on Gretchen Whitmer for the looongest time omg I haven’t seen her in a while, but she is probably still gorgeous.

These three are also attractive— Zelenskyy, Macron, and Trudeau.

Not really political but Dr. Ashish Jha (who got famous during COVID) is also handsome.

VERY obscure but Fabian Maingain, Depity Mayor of Brussels, is definitely up my alley. Big, beefy, and bearded!

The former sumo wrestler Baruto has also been into Estonian politics (under his real name, Kaido Höövelson), and oof! That man…!

I also had a thing for Tim Kaine.

There are other politicians I’ve been attracted to, but sadly some ended up being conservative.

Now, if you wanted to talk hot pro wrestlers…I’d have written a novel lol.

I just simply do not enjoy seeing people in beachwear, no matter who they are. I don't think I am even attracted to people. I probably wouldn't pay attention to anyone if I went out to a beach.

I do consider some politicians to be attractive regardless of political views and I wouldn't really mind seeing them in beachwear (and just to clarify, I don't have a crush on any of them), like Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Bob Dole, Dan Quayle, Bernie Sanders, and Walter Mondale just to name a few of them. Hell, I even had Mondale as my pfp here in the forums for a short time.

This feels like such a random question.

I get that when some find someone deplorable for whichever reason (especially politicians/leaders) their go to retorts are to insult something about their body. I'm guessing this is where the question stemmed from. Example some person in power is overweight so someone insults their bodyweight. Many people are overweight regardless of if they are 'evil', good, or their social status. If someone is repulsive it should be because of their personality and morals, not something that has to do with their body.

So no, I wouldn't be repulsed by someone wearing a bathing suit on the beach.
