Ever Lost a Game of Hide-and-Seek?

On island tours I have. In my town I haven't, but almost lost once with Cranston because he hid the park where there's lots of trees and bushes

I checked my town at least twice and I couldn't find the last villager.

In another round, I thought I'd lose again, until I saw that they could also hide on the beach ._.

I lost my first game today! And the villager I couldn't find was PAULA. Giant bear with bright yellow hair and a red shirt? Yeah. I found Marshal and Wolfgang just fine (Marshal was in a white flower patch!) but not Paula! I never even found where she was! I checked the beach TWICE!

I have once, but it wasn't actually my fault. I had just started a game of hide-and-seek when my Mum called me. I pressed start thinking it would pause the timer, but once I got off the phone I realised it had kept going and I had therefore lost. Oh well!

I did the same thing! My husband called me and I thought I had paused the game, but no. I lost and felt so silly.

Rarely do I lose in my town, only twice and when I had lots and lots of trees. The Island Tour used to be the bane of my existence (now it's the Labyrinth and Hammer Tours) but I'm doing better by using my D-pad A LOT and carefully trying to grid my areas of searching better.

If you stand behind a cluster of trees and click to look up at the sky, the trees will disappear but any hiding villagers will not.

I don't usually need to do that in my town, because my villagers all "peek" and are easy to spot.

But that helps me when I'm on tours.

Unless I'm on an elite tour. Then I spend more time finding pitfall seeds than animals. I'm just considerate of those I play with, I guess. Cause if I fall in all the pitfalls, then no one else can, right?

That's my story and I'm sticking to it...

I've never lost a game in my town, but I think I have multiple times on island tours.

LOL! You are too generous! I also fall in pitfalls so nobody else does.

But yeah...that's why I use my D-pad so much, so reveal the hiders. Of course I still manage to miss some now and again, but it really helps on those Elite Island Tours. I'm actually getting better and winning the gold at some of them.

Now if I can only manage to get a sense of direction (any sense at all would be nice) I could try to Beginners Labyrinth Tour and try to move to the Official Hammer, as well. I supremely stink at them.

I nearly lost a game of hide and seek. Freaking Phil was hiding behind a tree on the beach. It cost me 7 minutes to figure that out.

Yes! I lost many until I realized sometimes they hid on beaches. I don't have that many trees and such, so, I was so puzzled as to why I couldn't find the last one. Until I went to the beach and there he was, trying to hide behind a palm tree, lol.

UGH, that's probably how I lost my only failed game of hide and seek then. :/ I didn't realize they hide on the beach, plenty of things in town to hide behind.

I never began to win until I began to go behind houses and trees and use the D-pad constantly to look up. If you are close to the house or tree they house and tree will go invisible for a few moments and you can see them clearly if they are there. Once you get into that habit and "grid" out your areas it gets much, much easier.

I lost my first hide & seek game last winter when Bianca,the snowy white tiger,asked for a game in the middle of a snowstorm.Of course I couldn't find her.

i lost one game. it was with daisy. i never knew where she was to this day.

Oh yes, a few times. I always find it the last one which I get stuck. I really dislike those short villagers who can hide so easily and it's even worse if they are camouflage colours.

Luckily in my town at the moment, a lot of my trees have been cut down whilst I sort out my paths so it's relatively easy to find my villagers.

I lost one time on purpose because I had to go trade with someone. Strangely enough, when I got back to my town none of the players mentioned anything about the game. It's like we'd never even started playing.

And like a lot of others, I almost lost once due to a villager hiding on the beach. So sneaky.
