Ever been stood up by a villager?

Baabara invited me to come to her house at a certain time, so I went over, but she wasn't there! I walked away for a bit, came back, nope. Just not there. I went and found her out walking around in town and she says something along the lines of "I know we were supposed to meet at my house, but I couldn't. I can't tell you why." Weird!

Yeah! I don't know why it happens, but oddly, Lucky stood me up as well!

Yeah. I wait for around 10 minutes. I find the lazy ones are always around 10 minutes late.

That happened with my villager Kyle, I think he was supposed to come to my house but I talked to him later and he said he forgot to. Another incident happened with Beau when I was supposed to go to his house and I forgot to, so like 18 minutes after the time I talked to him and he said he'd forgotten.

It can happen both if they invite you over or if they ask to come over to your place. It's happened a fair number of times, though to be fair, they stand me up a *lot* less often than I ditch on them.

I actually really hate the appointments a lot. Oftentimes they end up being really inconvenient for many reasons. And I always forget if I'm distracted.

They've actually stood me up a few times, but it's usually when I've forgotten. There was only one time I was actually waiting and got stood up. Didn't really mind actually. Considering how often it happens with me, I can cut them some slack.

Oh wow I didn't know every villager could do that! I though it was only a lazy thing as mine is often late when it comes to appointments. I've never been stood up though that sounds awful. :c

Once I forgot to be at my house for a villager visit, and then I talked to them later that day. He said, "I came by, but you weren't there. Did you forget me?" Oh, the guilt!

No, I've never been stood up. However, I have stood them up 100+ times... That whole "set a time an hour from now" thing is f***ing awful.

Biskit stood me up twice. He keeps saying he was watching TV or eating a snack and forgot to come to my house. lol

Lucky's stood me up several times. In my experience it seems to be a trait of lazy villagers.

In my last town Diana stood me up like two or three times!!

I feel like when I actually remember to meet up with my villagers, they stand me up. Bangle did it once too and I remember once Tucker was like 15 minutes late lol

Lazies seem notorious for this. I've been stood up by my lazy villagers in the past. Although, Punchy hasn't done that yet, so hey.

I've only been stood up when I was just wasting my time waiting inside my house for a villager to show up. It's a weird feature to have in a game like this, but I find it a little funny

i didn't know they could omg?? i'd be so annoyed

i literally get annoyed when they ask for the 'an hour from now' visits (or the on the spot ones if i'm busy but i let them come over 99.9% of the time anyway) so if i let them schedule i'm being extremely nice or i really like the villager... if they stood me up i'd be super mad

Its possible that standing a villager up and being stood up by them are linked: I've never been let down by a villager and I've never forgotten an appointment I make with them ie I never stand them up. Its possible there is a link - I'm not saying for definite there is!

I'm OK when they want me to go to their house or visit mine immediately but when they want to make an ahead of time visit - which is often inconvenient for me, - I say yes and when they ask what time I want - I press quit - and they say something like 'Oh you have changed your mind' or similar.
They don't seem mad, it feels like a neutral response from them, so I tend to use that to get out of ahead of time visits.

I was stood up by Chester.
He was meant to come over to my house and so I waited and waited and he never came.
So I went outside to go find him and he was like, oh yeah, I was meant to come to you house, I forgot. sorry.
