I don`t understand whats wrong with beetlehunting, its a very easy way to get money, if you can`t sell turnips for whatever reason. I can`t sell turnips, cause I can`t enter other peoples towns outside of dreams.
THe only thing thats important while beetle hunting is to do it at night, when you`re not bothered with locus crap and those things. I also removed everything from the island except the palmtrees.
Anyways, if beetlehunting is not your thing, you can like others say collect rare items in the game and sell them on here, or there is always fishing.... But then again, since beetlehunting is a bigger source of money, faster and easier.... Why would you go fishing instead? If you TT a lot you could definetly give selling vilagers a shot. You must come across some nice ones.
Other suggestion could be buying/selling villagers from different sites to sell them later on to others for higher prices. If you TT a lot, you can get them to move out probably a lot faster, so that could work?
