i went onto tumblr and it turns out all da's are being erased unless u update it?? i tested some and all of them said they didn't exist when they were put in rip
im guessing it's so they get rid of all the inactive towns??? bc i accidently let luna pick a dream town for me and it was actually a finished town lol

I HOPE SO. DREAM TOWNS ARE ALL WELL AND GOOD BUT THE DESIGN IS OFF-PUTTING. OFF I'M PUT WHEN SEEKING A DREAM TOWN TO EXPLORE SLEEPILY. THERE'S NO JOY OR EXCITEMENT HAVING TO RANDOMLY SELECT A DREAM TOWN ONLY TO DISCOVER IT'S A PILE OF **** IN COMPLETE DISARRAY. I'M GLAD AND SUPPORTIVE ESPECIALLY IF IT MEANS THE CRAP BORING BRAND NEW DREAM TOWNS ARE ELIMINATED ENTIRELY.
LUNA HAS TOO MUCH DIALOGUE, SCRIPT, MAKE-UP AND WHAT HAVE YOU FOR ME TO HAPPILY EXPLORE THE DREAM REALMS UNENCUMBERED. CONSIDER ME ON BOARD IF A NEW DREAM SUITE SYSTEM HAS ARRIVED DUE TO THE NEW UPDATE... I'M UNAWARE OF IT'S STATUS AS OF NOW.
THANK THE DEVELOPERS IF THEY DECIDED TO IMPROVE THIS BRILLIANT DREAM SUITE CONCEPT WITH POOR IMPLEMENTATION. NOTHING BUMS ME OUT LIKE SCROLLING THROUGH HUNDREDS OF MYSTERY DREAM TOWNS ON A DRY LIST WITH NOTHING TO ENGAGE ME! LET'S GET REAL HERE... WE NEED SOME KIND OF PREVIEW OR STIMULI LIKE WHAT WE SEE IN HAPPY HOME DESIGNER TO AN EXTENT. IF YOU REALLY THINK I'M GOING TO WASTE MY TIME HOPPING INTO DEAD DREAM TOWNS THAN YOU'VE GOT ANOTHER THING COMING.

Kind of stinks for me . . . I worked for months to get my town's DA ready for the last snowfall of the year. Just published it a few days ago. Now my town is in Spring, and I guess that DA is dead forever after all my effort. Oh well, I'm pleased about a lot of the other features. Seems like they could have only eliminated ones past a certain date, though – it's not like a DA created within the last couple of months is going to be any "worse" or less developed than the ones people can create now.
RIP dream towns, although I'm kinda glad because mine was really bad lol (it was one of those " PILE OF **** " towns)
hopefully this will give people incentive to get back into playing and making new towns or finishing their old ones
from what i've read so far, all the old dream addresses got wiped because nintendo changed the formatting or w/e of DA's. i really hope they find a way to fix it though, i had sooo many towns i wanted to visit & get inspiration from, not to mention my old ones that i liked to visit every so often. :c
Aw The town I made when I was in St Judes is gone now then. I also guess this got rid of a lot of the classic towns too. At least the pros outweigh the cons for me (okay, not really, they are kinda equal now.)
Oh no! I feel really bad for all the people that lost the dream towns they worked hard on and that they can't make a new address for. I had a lot of towns I loved to dream of and this means that all of them are gone too. I know a lot of them don't exist anymore so I guess that was goodbye unless they can fix it and bring them back somehow.
i think da towns that are hacked look cool imo, i get a lot of inspo from visiting ppls town and a lot of really popular ones got deleted too but that's just my opinion
nooo my town isn't even in spring anymore from when we had the forum fair this summer and i haven't played since obviously...i'll need to time travel and put in some work to get it ready again for a new DA
So I just checked to see if this is true and I'm so sad right now! My first ever NL town that I had for two years is gone!! :'( It's lucky I took some pictures of it a few weeks ago
Aw man. I have a notebook with several pages of beautiful dream towns filled up. I'm going to have to erase all of it now. I didn't even get to finish them all.
This also means my old town is gone forever. It was a disaster, but I liked to visit it every so often for memories.
