does anyone else never get meteor showers?

Same she's only showed up twice to my island, and there wasn't a meteor shower and there wasn't any shooting stars the second time.

I haven't had a meteor shower either, and I've been playing since release!

Maybe I'm just really unlucky... I have seen several stars appear at night, but never to the degree they do in meteor showers. Good thing I have a bunch of friends to play with though.

They are separate events...because, I had shooting stars and even full-blown meteor showers before I had ever seen Celeste on my island. There's no reason for everything to be "data-mined". Surely, you can take people's word, no?

I don't think it needs to be when you can speak by experience, and especially when you could turn the tables and ask "has it been datamined that they are suppose to show up together?"

I just realized my original post sounded kind of rude and confrontational, but that wasn't my intention at all. I wasn't trying to say JKDOS was wrong, but expressing puzzlement that they'd make the events separate. I assumed they saw datamines because lately a lot of info like villager personalities is coming out as a result. My apologies.

Never seen Celeste nor a shooting star... Never had rain neither on my island, just once in a mystery one.

i had one last night! i’ve had maybe 2 actual meteor showers since the game’s release and another 2 nights where occasional shooting stars would appear

Same here. All the meteor showers I've seen have been visiting other people's islands, lol
