does anyone else never get meteor showers?

I think whenever Celeste shows up, a meteor shower will definitely appear. The problem is the frequency of the showers. Once I saw 2 stars and nothing for the rest of the night....and I missed them because I was terraforming. So you might be having them but missing them, as they can be quite sneaky.

Not true. Celeste has come around 5 times to my place and only once was a meteor shower. The other times there was only shooting stars periodically. When Celeste comes, at least you'll know you have some stars at least though

Celeste and Shooting stars are 2 very separate events. They are not related. I don't know where the rumor or misconception started, but Celeste is a random visitor. Shooting stars are a random occurrence, and are easy to miss as they are spontaneous, and last for a couple minutes unless you're super lucky. You do not need Celeste to see shooting stars, and vice versa. The occurrence of both at the same time is based on pure RNG luck, it is not guaranteed.

I havent gotten one or noticed one yet ;o; from looking it up, apparently the day a meteor shower is going to happen, isabelle will announce it and villagers will mention it occasionally. So it should be hard to miss if you ever get a day like that

I seriously haven't seen a meteor (forget about showers...I haven't seen a single one) in about a week and a half. Kinda weird, since I used to see at least 3 or 4 each night...and then I would see huge showers every once in a while as well...

They are separate events...because, I had shooting stars and even full-blown meteor showers before I had ever seen Celeste on my island. There's no reason for everything to be "data-mined". Surely, you can take people's word, no?

I don't think it needs to be when you can speak by experience, and especially when you could turn the tables and ask "has it been datamined that they are suppose to show up together?"

I have em like once every two weeks so far. but my sister who time travels a lot rarely ever has them so we're thinking TTing has to do with it.

Been playing every day since day one. Never had Celeste and I check my island every night and no meteor showers either. The shooting stars I have seen have been on other people's islands.
