Does anyone else feel awkward leaving after a trade?

Sometimes, because I always says thanks right away. I do not know if while I am typing they are going to end, usually I am trying to offer a tip or see if they want to chat a minute some do and get cut off with an end session. I've never had to walk back to train. As host is easier, I ask if would like perfect fruit or need anything, shop ect if are trust seeming. Have had good conversations during the old long retail method made a good friend on BFF list by a give I hosted to her once. In others towns feel awkward, do they want to talk, I just wait make sure say thanks if seems are ready to end fast try to throw a tip and goodbye usually get cut off. If hosting is easier to see if are saying something or say are ready to go. My last adoption the girl was very sweet let me use Main Street take some fruits I needed, she had another person there as guard at first I was scared entering a two people but I get it. I never make a move without being told to as host am pretty giving.

Hate awkward silences where not sure if someone is typing or ending...

yeah, i feel hella awkward. i always say hey and bye and thanks etc and compliment the town if i like it. i'm actually pretty friendly in game because i love visitors/visiting, but i type slow and sometimes i'm not sure if they're waiting on me or >< the ending session is probably the most awkward bit.

I haven't done one as host in a while but as I will have a bunch leaving new town to replace with last dreams. It is slightly awkward because I wish there was mic chat takes forever to type so I don't know if think I am standing still while typing or if they are. After my first trade as visitor I got it. As host though, I never mind at all if someone wants to stay, hang, chat, whatever. So just ask if need anything and feel it out if they are busy or not. As host am always open to people staying longer if want to. As visitor I usually expect a confirmation they say goodbye and while I am typing offering tip or saying bye they end, and that's ok too.
