honestly when I first played new horizons and when I first saw him my mind was like "right I'll do it" then he comes back and then I'm like:
"Mate. I think your friends are trying to kill you"
So now everytiime I see him I just think of what the lads been through.

Edit: OK so turns out he's a fraud

No, I treat him much the same as I do the crackheads who have passed out in the parks and walk on by, leaving him passed out. I wish I could train my wolf villagers to eat him.

Seems a bit excessive.

Well in Wild World and City Folk the player is the bane of Gulliver's existence as they shoot down his flying UFO that passes through the sky. It's been a long time and I can't remember how it plays out, but you use a slingshot to take him down.

So I wouldn't be surprised if by like some childlike shenanigans he faces similar situations when falling overboard.

Might explain why his shipmates keep trying to assassinate him

I pretend he’s not there. I honestly find him annoying and wish he had a different role. Hopefully he’ll do something fun in the next game🤞🏼

Honestly, I keep forgetting that he exists. I rarely talk to him if he’s on my Island. It’s not that I don’t like him but the side quest to find parts for his communicator is rather long and annoying. It took me forty minutes once just to find the last piece needed because the little water squirts weren’t popping up for me that often and I kept digging up clams to the point I had no more room in my pocket.

I was just thinking that! His tasks are kind of time consuming and grindy. I didn't mind him in NL as much since the task wasn't really that bad. It's one thing to have a task that takes time and is fun and it's entirely different when it's time consuming and not engaging in the slightest.

Not to mention that none of the DIY recipes were added to my list because this was before the update that added cooking and there was absolutely no reason why I would make so much Fish Bait to clear my pockets

I do feel sad for him sometimes, I'm sure there are times I've ignored him but I do mostly try and help em out.
F8nding the pieces in the sand were harder fir me because I had a lot if flowers cluttering my beach at one point, so it was more irritating.

I don't mind finding them for him. Not overall fond of the prizes half the time.
His story is all the same, definitely feel he isn't well liked but in the end his ship does come back for him in the end.

I definitely like Gulivarrr a lot more, even though the theory is that they're literally the same person but he dressed as a pirate (adds to the theory that Gullivarr never got an amiibo card made for him so...) and I'm always fond of him coming onto the island!

That's fair but I agree the communicator parts quest is absolutely pure agony sometimes.
