I do now!
All my life I've tested at 20/20 vision or better. But i had trouble with horrible headaches, driving issues, and double vision, all getting worse over time. When my eyes were tired especially, I'd see everything double and not be able to bring it back into focus. But that was my normal.

Then just over a year ago i went to a specialist, and was diagnosed with alternating exotropia. I got some prism glasses - and it was an instant cure for the horrible headaches! Also helps with driving and the double vision. So yep- nearly always wearing my glasses now. 😁

Wow Betsy, That must have been pretty awful! I had never even heard of this so I had to look it up. I’m glad it was an easy fix and not something more serious. I have worn glasses since I was 6 years old because of an astigmatism. So I’ve always gone to opthomalogists. As a young adult when I started wearing contacts I was going to an optometrist for a few years. Then they failed to catch a pretty advanced infection in my eye. So now I would never go to an optometrist again. They are supposed to have had training in eye diseases, etc. but they aren’t a medical Dr. I didn’t know that in my 20’s.

I voted for the fourth one. I never had to wear glasses despite most of my family having to wear one, including both my parents. However, lately I've been noticing I've been having issues with reading letters from a distance. I fear my vision isn't so "20/20" anymore. Then again, it might be a side effect from my medication because I've been getting migraines here and there as well.

i wear glasses as im nearsighted, and my vision without them is quite bad. i never look at my laptop or the tv without my glasses on as its very blurry and straining, but will still look at my phone without them which is probably a habit i should fix. its hard for me to make out faces that aren't even that far away, and will only be able to tell the person by walking much closer. same thing with any signs on the road or stores that aren't even that distant. my eyesight is pretty bad but not horrible? id say. so i pretty much have to wear glasses all the time and try to, occasionally still don't though.

Yes, I am, as my optometrist called me, "a near-sighted little thing." I used to have a complex over how I looked in glasses, so for the entirety of high school I went without wearing them, and my grades suffered as a result (don't be like me, kids).

I've since accepted that I look cute with my glasses, and now have several different pairs to match different outfits. The ones I use the most are my red ones, my favorite color. :)

Yes. I've had glasses the majority of my life. I've been wearing glasses full time for around 10 years. I used to be able to go without my glasses for formal events, but now my vision is too bad for that. I also think contacts are too uncomfortable. Honestly I don't ever really notice my glasses. They just feel like part of my face now.

Yess! I have 3 pairs, one for home, one for outside, and one pair of sunglasses.

I don't wear glasses but my one eye has really bad vision. My eye was damaged and has a blurry double vision now. So even if I did get glasses it wouldn't really do anything to help the problem.

i've had to wear glasses since 6th grade i think? but it was only really to see the board during classes. when my eyesight got worse a couple years later i opted for contact lenses instead because i didn't (and still don't) want to wear glasses all the time.

i still don't really like wearing glasses, partially because i don't like how my face looks with them - though i did start getting transparent pink frames instead of solid black ones and i think they look a lot better on me. but it's also slightly uncomfortable for me to look around with glasses on. i'm fine wearing them at home, but i always wear contacts when i go to work and most of the times i go out. i don't like driving with glasses, so if i'm just running errands or taking short trips, i'll still switch to contacts even if it's only for a short time unless someone else is driving.

my contacts do make my eyes feel dry if i wear them too long but i always take them off and switch to glasses once i get home and i'm done going out for the day.

If I live long enough, I would like to see if the "perfect vision" answers were to change. As a young man my vision was beyond exceptional, and I was told to go fly in the air force (never really understood why to be honest... )

However, everyone's vision declines over years. I don't think many people know that. I wear glasses now, and not afraid to admit my vision has blurred over the decades.

I've had reading glasses since I was 9. I got them because I would get headaches when I tried to read. To this day, my vision is perfectly fine, but I get headaches if I don't use them. I wear them pretty much all the time because I'm always using either my laptop or my phone.

Yes, I do wear glasses. When I was young in elementary school, my eyes started to get blurry and my eyesight started to get bad. I can’t see from far away. Now, I have to temporarily wear my glasses everyday for my entire life to help me see better.

I don't remember exactly, but I think I'm slowly approaching 10 years of wearing glasses. Got them as an adult. I don't miss my old vision, but now I feel more blind when I take them off.

I will never try contacts, I do not like the idea of putting stuff in my eyes. Or having lasers on them.
