Do you think new buildings will be added with future updates?

I think they will add new stuff with future dlcs or updates. I really want something like Brewster's Cafe back.

I think they will add more in the future. After all, I can't imagine that from all the shops/buildings we had in the previous games we will only stick with Nook's Cranny, the Able Sisters as well as the museum, especially when you can now design your own island better than ever.

I think in the recent direct mini the said the late april update would bring new features as well as nature day so who knows.

Certainly looking at the map, there is space on the right for 10 public services.

Pretty sure they'll add more later on, what we have now just... isn't a lot. There would certainly be room for a few more buildings...

Well that's all you really had in WW. Granted, you had Brewster's coffee shop and the observatory run by Celeste in that Museum, but with Celeste being confirmed in game and dataminers finding stuff about Brewster, I think we will see Museum expansions at least.

Anyway, point is, not much wrong with having less atm, we used to manage just fine in WW. This was a deserted island, afterall....

I’m just afraid that they’ll be hesitant to add extra buildings because they want there to be plenty of room for every player house and the new buildings too. As if the vast majority of players really need 8 freaking players and houses on their island.

I believe they will. I don't think they'll bring everything back, though. So I think people should keep their expectations on track. I do think Brewster will be back in some capacity: as in, either bringing The Roost as an independent building you can place on your island or as part of a Museum extension (I'm thinking it'll be the latter). I also think Leif will return but again, it might be just as an extension to Nook's. As for other buildings: I don't think they'll bring back KK's club nor Dream Suite (though, I'm sure they'll plan an equivalent to this, maybe a "dream ticket" to other island of sorts, who knows). I'm conflicted with Shampoodle's, since I think we might just see Harriet coming to the island to offer you new hairstyles, makeup, etc (maybe even Mii face), but probably not a building per se.
