Do you still use ladder and vaulting pole?

I'm mostly asking to people that have finished the terraforming process and have everything settled in.

At the beginning I was planning to get a map that allowed me to don't use the ladder or the vaulting pole, but even if I built a bunch of bridges and inclines, I still use them as shortcuts.
Was wondering if someone built a map that can be completely visited quickly and don't use these items anymore?

honestly i got bridges/inclines everywhere and my island is full of paths and shortcuts but i still use them
espcially the ladder

I always use the vauting pole and ladder because I have fun using them regardless of bridge/incline or not.

I haven't found myself using the ladder and pole for the past few weeks... until today. Because I suddenly had the urge to redesign half of my island.

i do! i’ll use them if i’m far away from a bridge/incline and i’m feeling too lazy to walk to one lol - i also still have to use the ladder to access my secret beach lol

I don't use the vaulting pole at home because I put in hop spots in the places that I need to cross often that don't already have bridges.

My ladder is always with me because I can't get to my house without it.

I do all the time, because I've only built one bridge and one incline (and it's to go to my Nooks Cranny as I have it up on a cliff, lol). I didn't want to start seriously building bridges and inclines until I'd figured out my layout, so it's pole vault/ladder time for me for a while.

I basically never use my ladder on my own island, but I sometimes still use the vaulting pole for fun.

I only have one little area that isn't reachable without a ladder so I keep one on me just in case a fossil spawns there. Otherwise my vaulting pole is retired until I go to Nook Islands!

I keep the ladder on me almost all the time. I have not held a pole vault in forever. Reason being, there are certain mountainous areas that are purely aesthetic and there’s no incline whatsoever. I wanna go up there sometimes for the cedar trees and stuff. Pole vault? I have every river covered in bridges where they’re convenient. No point.

My upper cliffs aren't accessible without a ladder, so I still use that.

But I don't use the vaulting pole very often at all.

My secret beach and one of my (third level) cliff tops are by choice inaccessible without a ladder. I also have a second level cliff area that’s inaccessible without either a ladder or pole vault. This area is decorated all spooky.
But I also frequently use them if I’m not that close to a ladder or incline and don’t want to run over and double back.

I agree with the poster who said using them is fun so I didn’t place inclines or bridges in a way that minimizes the need to use them. More what looks like a natural placement given the flow of buildings etc

Yes to both! I haven't started terraforming yet and I'm too impatient to use bridges every time

I don't have them in my tool ring anymore but i definitely still always keep them in my inventory!!

definitely, I’m super lazy lol. But I think once my island plan is 100% complete (still waiting on a small handful of inclines), I might take the ladder off my tool ring in favor of the watering can.

Nowhere near finished terraforming, but I'm trying to use them as little as possible. I raised areas in the river where I don't have bridges to cross. I have four finished inclines and and have a fifth being built today in the area I use the ladder most.

I only use them if I'm chasing after a bug or a balloon I wouldn't be able to get otherwise.
