Do you still use ladder and vaulting pole?

I rarely do now. My island is set up so that the pole and ladder aren't required for the most part, with the two exceptions being to get to the secret beach and a small area on my cliffs that has water running around it. I definitely prefer just being able to run all over my island freely, rather than having to rely on the pole or vault to get to places.

Only if I go to the mystery islands, or my friends islands. There's no need to use them on my own island
