I personally do. I like seeing where I’m going if I have to get up for any reason. I don’t want to step on anything. I’m very cautious without shoes on.
I know some people can’t sleep with any lights on, though. Keagan also doesn’t like darkness. He sleeps in the one spot that’s lit up every night. I don’t think it’s a coincidence, lmao.
I have night lights throughout the house because I have night blindness. They have different color settings, so the one in the bedroom is slightly dimmer than the rest.
I wish I could tolerate light at night I have to make sure my curtains are perfectly closed and that any little electronic lights are turned off, because every last thing bothers me. I used to sleep with a bit of background light until my mid teens, but I can’t anymore
I like to sleep when it's pitch black in my room with the exception of my alarm clock but I did when I was 5? My brothers and I also used to sleep with the TV on when we got older but for my youngest brother. I remember him getting him upset everytime we turned it off.
As far as the house goes, we always have LED lights for the stairs and a light on in the kitchen for safety reasons.
No, not anymore! I used to be afraid of the dark, but I’ve grown out of it. Now, I actually prefer sleeping in a dark room, it feels more relaxing to me.
Yes. We have mini stairs in the house because certain rooms are lower and higher than others. It's good to see at night so you don't fall.
Also, I find dim lighting has more sleepy vibes than pitch darkness. I can sleep in either, but I feel I sleep better with some dim lighting.
I might occasionally turn the television on for some background noise and set the sleep timer so it will turn itself off, but not very often. I usually just turn the lights off.
yes always! i'm much afraid of the dark if it's late at night so i always need at least 1 light open.
my roommate back in high school was the complete opposite, he hates it so when i fall asleep he turns it off immediately. then there are times i wake up in the middle of the night in pitch black darkness and i'd panic lmao
I do fine in the dark when my spouse is home, but when he’s gone for work and im sleeping alone I struggle falling asleep if I don’t set up a night light
I went ahead and added a fifth option for those who don’t necessarily use a night light but prefer to use something else as a light source, like a television, for example.
I don’t use an actual night light, but I do have a light on close by so I can see where I’m going. It may be cheaper to invest in an actual night light, though.
I don't. When I was really little and afraid of literally everything, I couldn't sleep without one, but I've been fine for the past 12 years. Right now, I can sleep in practically any environment: bright, dark, quiet, noisy, comfortable, uncomfortable.
I stopped using night lights when I was very little, however I still use some bits of light when I go to bed, I just can't go to sleep without at least a little bit of light in the room. Usually I'd have a desk lamp on or some other small light source that isn't too intrusive to anyone else.
I do sleep with a night light, but it's along the same wall as the side of my bed and I have a divider in between so it's not necessarily bright. if I could see the night light I wouldn't be able to sleep. but having a very small amount of light helps. it's also so that I don't trip over my dogs when I'm trying to walk through the room at night, as they love to sleep in the middle of the floor lol.
thought I tend to go through phases, sometimes I need a small amount of light, sometimes I need the room to be completely dark. it's odd
No. I like my room as dark as possible because it’s healthier and I don’t need one, but they are cute Also I have windows so it’s probably bright enough
