I used to TT a lot, but since I started collecting my dreamies, I've stopped because I don't want to lose them. I still occasionally TT a couple of hours to the opening of a store or what have you, given that I tend to stay up till really early in the morning.

Sometimes. I did for a long time and then figured out all this TT stuff. I feel like with the update and the amiibo cards, you can TT a lot and still keep your perfect group of neighbors.

I keep my game as close to realtime and day as i can, but often i will travel backwards, or set the clock 12 hours off, because of work or something. i voted No because i'll even halt time to play the same event for a week or two :p though, for about a 9 month stretch, i did play every day without pausing, stopping, or even shutting the game down. ended up losing someone, but thats the risk~

When I first started playing I did play in real time, but then because of my insomnia the town was asleep most of the time I was awake and playing. That's when I figured out through a lot of obsessive YouTube-ing and tumblr surfing online research that time travel was a thing. I did that at first so that my town would be awake with me, but then I started doing it to get ahead. My impatience led to me losing two of my most favorite villagers, so I've returned to real time.

Well, it's still somehow six days ahead of the actual date but the season is the same & I plan to slowly transition it back to the correct date!

I tt a lot but I always tend to put my clock back to real time, I just prefer it that way. The most I ever really tt forward for is a week anyway

I play in real time, tting is quite...uncomfortable for me. Sometimes I feel like my villagers would leave. :p

Sometimes, but for the most part no. I've got flowers to breed, villagers to trade, vans to arrive, and trees to grow.

It's January 3, 2017 in my town Lysfjord. I once tried to go by real time, in an old town that will never be seen again because of the update, and it didn't even last an hour before I changed the time. In my first town in 2013, I went by real time until December 24.

I am the ultimate time traveling scum :( Sometimes I wonder if playing by real time would have been better so my progress could be stretched out further and I could thoroughly enjoy the game longer, but I'm just too impatient for that!

right now it's @ real time. though when i'm not bothered i will sometimes jump to weeks if i have to

I try to stay in real time as much as I can but if I get access to cute amiibo cards, a camper agreed to move in, someone is moving out, a new store is opening, a bill/project has just been completed, you bet I will time travel a little. No more than two or three days though and I always come back to the present day before closing the game.

as much as i enjoy playing in real time, i haven't done it at all for the past year. i stopped because last year, i stopped wanting to play in lumatown every day, so i just... stopped playing altogether. then once i got my second copy of new leaf for christmas, i wanted my second town to be an always-winter town. sooo i have one town that's stuck in late november 2015, and another that's still in february 2016.

since the update, i've... sortof been playing in real time? i've been playing in my second town so it's still in february like it was before the last time i stopped playing, but the only time i changed the date was to change it to the date it was before i stopped playing so i could play again, so time went by at the same speed as irl. but i haven't played for the last few days, because peanut's moving out and i want to try and get one of my dreamies before playing again to prevent a random move-in.
