Do you participate in holidays?

So I noticed recently that I've never participated in Bunny Day or Toy Day, and I haven't participated in Halloween in my current town. Do you participate in holidays? Are there any you haven't gotten to participate in yet?

It's sort of sad to not have participated in some of the holidays, but also, if it's also an actual holiday IRL, then usually I'm busy celebrating. Maybe this year, for Halloween at least, I'll TT to do it early...

I used to participate in every holiday when the game first came out. This year I haven't participated in too many, simply because I've already experienced everything there is to offer. I do plan on doing Harvest Festival this year, since that is my favorite holiday in New Leaf.

When the game game out I tried to participate in every holiday. Some I missed because of family events going on. I got all the major holidays over the course of two years, but I keep missing out on Festival.

This year I have to miss Halloween IRL because of work conflicts, so I am really looking forward to it in New Leaf.

Sometimes I'll do them to add the rewards to my shop.

It depends on how much I like the event and the rewards. I play everyday so it's not a problem of missing them. Even on actual holidays, my family obligations don't take the entire day. I can always find an hour or two to play when things wind down.

Halloween and Toy Day are my favorite holidays respectively so I'll never miss them. I love the creepy set and Halloween in general. It's my favorite holiday in real life too. On Toy Day, I just enjoy giving my villagers gifts that make them happy.

I played during the Harvest Festival last year, but completely skipped it. I don't care for the furniture and I hate cooking. The event just didn't appeal to me at all, so I focused on my dailies that day. I may partially participate this year just to get some of the ingredients for my catalog.

Since Bunny Day and April Fools Day fell on the same day this year, I didn't have time to do both properly. I focused on April Fools Day because it meant more villager interaction and villager pics. I only did one turn-in for Bunny Day. I got annoyed by all the rocks and eggs buried around town that kept me from finding fossils and the gem rock easily. Plus, I don't care for the egg furniture.

I loved the feathers floating around town for Festivale and the villagers looked so cute all dressed up. But I found it took too long to gather the feathers Pave requested so I only got one turn-in. I don't like the Pave series all that much either.

So it's hit or miss for me. Even though I play on the holidays, I don't always participate.

I used to participate in them a lot when the game first came out, not much anymore.

Festivale: It's simple enough to collect the feathers, and I collected all of the Pav? items this way years ago. When it rolls around, I tend to still participate because I can just sell the Pav? furniture for money this time around.

Bunny Day: At the very least, I make sure to break the newly spawned rocks so they don't stick around in my town forever. I don't know if that's still a glitch that occurs since the Welcome Amiibo update, but I still do it to be safe anyway. Aside from that, I did it once to get all the furniture years ago, then decided to do it again this year with my best friend since she had gotten into the game, it was that time of year, and it was something fun we could do together.

April Fool's Day: I hear it boosts the villagers' friendship by a lot, so I tend to do it even though I already have their pictures and Blanca's as well.

Halloween: Almost every time. Halloween is my favorite holiday in real life, so I enjoy participating in it in New Leaf. Plus, I never know when I might want more of the items like Creepy Skeletons or Creepy Stones.

Harvest Festival: Generally, yes, I participate in the Harvest Festival. I didn't used to do so because it seemed like a lot of hassle, but I don't know, I just enjoy it these days.

Toy Day: Honestly, I'd feel like a jerk if I didn't do this every time the day came around. Plus, it's enjoyable to find out what the villagers want and to deliver it.

New Year's Eve/Countdown: Sometimes. As I play utilizing time travel, the actual date of the Countdown and the real world New Year's Eve hardly if ever align. But I mean, hey, why not enjoy it with the villagers occasionally for the heck of it?

Sometimes. I've completed all of the holidays in the game, but there are a few things I'd like extras of, so I'll participate for that. I would like a 2nd wreath from Jingle, just so I can put them up on either side of my doorway, and I need a few Mush items to complete the series.

Other than that, I just play so that I feel more like I'm part of the town, which is why I'll be donning my patched outfit for Halloween and scaring villagers.

I use to when its a holiday but now I don't care about the holidays in acnl, I just like to enjoy the music in the town when its a holiday and that's it nothing else I care about.

so far yes!! ii started playing Feb. 2018 and ive loved every little Holiday/Event so far!!! ii was def. excited about Bunny Day and it so happened to be April Fools Day as well!! ii just got to see the Fireworks Show too!!! ill be participating in all things to come, it will be the 1sts for me so yes!! ii totally am/will!!

I try to, but often times I miss them half the time due to real-life commitments. Guess that labels me in the "sometimes" category..

I have participated in all of them except for Harvest Festival. I watched my daughter go through it once and that was enough for me. I usually participate in Festivale because I am so in love with everything that is Pave. He is my spirit animal, lol. I also love April Fool because the villagers have such fun telling their fibs and I ADORE watching them with Blanca. I also do Toy Day and New Years pretty much every year. Since I love Christmas so much, I'd hate for my villagers to not get their gifts and visit from Santa. Occasionally Halloween since they all look so cute in their sheets.
