Hi, I'm currently running two ACNL games on my 3DS, one downloaded the other a physical copy. I installed the ACNL Welcome amiibo update and, with the downloaded game, found Wisp very quickly. When I inserted the second, physical, game in the cartridge slot it too seemed to install the upgrade successfully but, after a few hours of gameplay, there's no sign of Wisp.
Anyone know if this is because Wisp can only appear in one game per 3DS or am I missing something? Would be grateful for any advice.
I found he won't show up in areas with lots of patterns, flowers, bushes etc, as his lamp needs to spawn on the ground. I found him on the beach as one character then by the station as another.
Yea try places where there is enough space for his genie lamp to be placed. He actually popped out at random when I wasn't looking for him. If all else fails I would try to erase some paths for the meantime and hope he appears there. Good luck getting him he is so cute!^-^
Don't know if this relates to your situation but, if you have two (in my case) "human" players, he'll find both. He snagged me on a bridge first, then in an orchard for the 2nd.
All players living in your town can find Wisp and get the lamp. Only one wish for the whole town per day.
Last night the mayor invited an amiibo in. Later I tried with my 2nd player and Wisp said someone already made a wish. One per day sorry.
