Only one Character per Switch Profile?

I think they'll need profiles created, but surely it won't be compulsory to create Nintendo accounts for all of them. If so, that's preposterous.

I also don't believe you will be required to set up a Nintendo Account if you make another Switch profile unless you want to play online with it. I currently have a 3rd profile (The first 2 are my brother and I) on my Switch that does not have a Nintendo Account attached to it and it can still play games like Smash Bros.

They showed this in the E3 presentation. You can use the "call islander" option on your NookPhone, so another person that lives on the island can join you anytime an you can run around on the same Switch simultaniously.

Perfect thank you, that's such reassuring news. Me and my bestie can play with all our other friends without her having to miss out just because she's using a profile on my switch

Updated the first post to reflect the fact that it's likely multiple profiles instead of accounts, unless one wants to play online with all characters.
