Are you guys’ houses near your villagers houses? I’m debating making one really well structured neighbourhood and having my house in the corner I’m just wondering if that’s a thing that I should do!
Nope, my villagers all live in the residential area in the middle of the map and then my house is all the way at the back on top of the cliffs by the secret beach.
I have seven villagers in one neighborhood around residential services, three across the river, and my house is just behind the three. I don't want my house too far away because cleaning out storage would take too long, going from house to shop
I have 5 playable characters that each live in different areas of my island. Within those areas they share them with 2 villagers each. So I suppose yes I live near them. I don’t have them right next to each other though like organized residential areas you see most people make. They are somewhat close though.
I don't live near my villagers. I built a house on the hill for me and a residential area for my 10 villagers, and they're pretty far apart from one another.
My villagers are spread around my island, so we all live roughly equal distances from each other.
My two starting villagers and are either side of the plaza, with my house up behind resident services. That's it for the central section of my map, which is almost an island within the island.
Then I have a house towards the bottom corner of each coast, three spread across the island backing onto the first tier of cliffs and three spread out along the second level.
The third level of my island has the museum, lakes, and lots of flowers at the moment. I'll put something else up there eventually.
No I live on the other side of my map lol. I might move one of my alt characters over there though once I finalize home themes (most likely the character who has their house themed to be a school/university since it makes the most sense). All of my villagers live together though in a neighborhood and I really like that!
I live next to my villagers. I like the concept of having a ton of cute kind neighbors since my real life neighbors are a very messy conglomerate of college frat boys.
I’m not a fan of having a residential area and then a special area for the player’s house on my island. I have my villagers spread out, in twos and threes by personality and style. My house is next to Punchy’s, Audie and Stitches are together, Diana and Raymond, and then right now I have 5 houses together but that’s just while I’m terraforming I’ve made a woodland village which will just be Deirdre and Fauna in the end. I just prefer it all spread out by theme and to live in amongst them personally.
My characters live at the bottom of the map in a residential area next to the residential services and I live all the way at the top right side of the map near the secret beach.
No, my villagers are kind of clumped pretty close together behind the town hall. My house on the other hand is on a 2-tier cliff with 4 staircases and a waterfall leading up to it, and a little private beach area behind it. I mean I am the island representative and that must be a pretty high paying job, where as all the other villagers are unemployed, so...
No, 9 out of 10 of my villagers are grouped together on the east side of my island. The last villager is on the west side (seems cruel, I need to find a good place for her). My house is North-center.
No, and I'm not sure whether I made the right choice being so far apart from them. All my villagers live in a designated neighbourhood area, whereas I have a house that's a bit of a ways off and surrounded by water. It's very rare for me to ever see my villagers near my house at all, so I feel like I'm kind of missing out on some of these interactions. Maybe I might change it in the future.
Nah, I have my own little area. My villagers' houses are scattered around my island though, so it doesn't look too odd that my house is off on its own.
yup, in the upper left corner of my island, I have a residential area with all 10 villagers on a second level cliff, and my house is elevated on a third level cliff ^^
