i just turned off tilt jump to make more use of my u-tilts, and before i played using the stick to jump. do you guys use buttons or tilt jump? i just found out that people actually use x and y.. it's really hard for me to use buttons :p

The tap jump really hinders my gameplay. Sometimes when I try to use Yoshi's egg to recover instead of my double jump I find out my double jump gets used up when I wasn't trying to. I also have difficulty using any characters up tilt with this on and I end up jumping instead. I play really well with the buttons, so I always use those. It prevents me from performing attacks/jumps that I wasn't trying to do.

My little brother keeps tap jump on, and honestly, I don't understand why he would want to keep it on. Up tilt is such a helpful move c:

Also, sometimes when I accidentally forget to change my name, I randomly jump and that's not fun lol

I have it on.

"But it makes u-tilts harder to use!!!!!1!1!1!!!1!1!"
I set the right stick to attack. It makes f-tilts easier to use as well.

I use a nunchuk + wiimote, and I've gotten used to playing by using the stick to jump. I hardly ever use U-tilts because of that... :L

I should probably start using the C button to jump instead, but I'm so used to using the stick to jump that I can't get the hang of using any other control setup. rip me

I have tilt jump on, but my playstyle mixes both the stick and button for jumps.

Haven't had any trouble with performing utilts either.

I keep it on, but only because I'm worried I'll forget to turn it off some time and mess up from not being used to the change. It's easier without it though, so I might turn it back off.

i'm just used to it being on. if you could turn it off in melee I probably would and never use it again but it's practically like it's off if you know where your tilt zones are on the stick.

Off.

I barely ever accidentally triggered a jump but when it did happen and I accidentally jumped/double jumped because of the tilt it was annoying as hell.

It was easier to just turn it off

basically, light tilt for some stuff and harder tilt in varying intensity for other things

Yes I see that I just didn't realize that there were so many different inputs LOL...my main only has one speed and its dash fast, so I never really had to use the other options I guess lol

I'm a scrub that uses buttons when I am intentionally trying to jump and uses the tilt jump when I am caught off guard and in panic mode.
