I mean I like my island name Saboria it's my country I made up but I keep doing space theme on my island which reminds me more of my planet I made up (Galatica). I mean over all my island name isn't bad

Confession....My island name is just my name in another language LOL. I was going to name my island after my town in New Leaf (Milano like the cookies) but decided I wanted a change~

YOOOO LIKE THE COOKIES I love those cookies... i want to give it an Italian name but like,,, everyone kinda confuses the words, i know a lot of people make fun of Paradis for 'not being spelt right' even though it's French

I'm so glad I begun planning my island before launch and eventually came up with the name I did! I definitely would've ended up with something I'd eventually regret if I hadn't done that name brainstorming. I was trying to do things with "stone," "haven," "water," "hope" but none of them were really selling me... then I remembered a song and there it was, my island name.

But even then nothing I could come up with now will ever beat the atrociousness of some of the meaningless character names I've come up with when I was younger... including my first NL mayor's name. all the shudders

Nah, I've been surprisingly content with my island name. I suddenly came up with it like 30 mins before ACNH went live. I've reset my island 3 times now but every single time I still kept my island name, Starfall I love stars so I wanted to incorporate the word into my island name. I have a headcanon that my character and starting villagers came up with Starfall together cause there was a meteor shower the first night they stayed there. Not for real though! (I wish) Just my headcanon~

Also, my best friend named her island Windfall so we kind of ended up matching! (it was an accident on my part I swear)

Sometimes. Currently, my island is the name of a band that I like that I feel has a kind of naturey vibe to it (Thornhill), where I figured if I didn't like the band as much in the future, then at least it sounded like an island name and not just a band name-- if that makes sense. My NL town was called Pickles, which is the name of my cat, and the reason I didn't pick that name for my NH island was because I wanted a more unique name, however, sometimes I get sad that I didn't pick Pickles because I feel like I have more of a personal attachment/ connection to that name. For now though, I'm happy with Thornhill c:

My island name is actually the one thing about it that I'm 100% happy with, besides pears which I got on purpose. I named my Tomodachi Life island Destiny because it had a certain ring to it. I decided to make a call-back to that, and there have been no regrets yet!

a lot of ppl were hella prepared i was considering naming it after my NL town then Tomodachi tbh

Sometimes. I used to always name my towns Mineola, cause that was the name of my first ever Animal Crossing town. But this time I decided I wanted to do something different, so I named it PalmHarbor. I wanted it to have a space, but there wasn’t enough room. It kind of bothers me and sometimes I wish I went with something else but I also don’t want to reset.

There's a lot of names I thought of now that I wish I would have when naming my island... but I got the game at midnight on the 20th I was too excited to play to think too hard on it. I named it Aplace, which is referencing my Wild World town which was 'a place', but no else is going to know that.

But I have seen quite a few islands names Corona, Quarantine, and Covid-19 which is funny now, but down the line...
