Do you ever get sick of looking at your island?

Yes, absolutely. I can't decide if I still want my magical forest island I've been working on from the start, or if I want a more rural/suburb type of place. I guess when the update drops I'll be able to make a decision

I'm a total control-freak perfectionist so, yeah, I know that feeling pretty well!

Whenever I feel tired or unsatisfied by an area I always, always try to change it up. Clearing it all and starting from scratch.

It can get kind of annoying at times but I feel like if you enjoy decorating you end up learning a lot about what you like and don't like by reworking areas of your town. Eventually I always end up with something that feels better and that won't give me that urge to tear it all down again the following week (hopefully, who knows?! lol)

yeah, i got sick of the area i had built around the shop just recently. i decided to tear it all down and put nook's on the beach (i plan on moving it when i figure out a place for it). the issue is that i have no idea what i want it to look like or where to even put it....

some areas of my island have stayed the same for a year. you get kind of sick of it after a while but i like most of it enough to let it be

I’m tired of looking at mine because it’s been unfinished forever. I am starting to spend more time on my island though ever since the update announcement. Hopefully I’ll be able to get it to a point where I’m not so tired of it.

Yep! I have gotten tired of looking at my island and stopped playing for a few weeks/months too. I’m returning to it now that the update is coming out and changing things up to add the new stuff/villagers.

yes, definitely. not too much at the moment since i'm still in the process of building my island up, but definitely in my previous island i was constantly having moments where i decided i didn't like something in particular, but wasn't quite sure exactly how to change it so any modifications didn't seem 'right'. i think that feeling of dissatisfaction is bound to happen when you're staring at the same things day in day out, but eventually you'll find what works for you

I can't be tired of my island when I haven't even worked on it much since release lmaooo there's just trees and flowers everywhere and buildings on the beach and it looks like I just started XDD

I mean, I'm doing a whole bunch of renovations all over my island at this time, so my island is no longer tiring to look at.

The only place I'm sick of is the big empty gap in the center(ish). But that will be gone when the big update hits, because I have it all figured out - I just need some of the new items to fill it in!

But the rest of it? Nah, I love it.

No, I haven't. I just really enjoy my island and what I've created. I find it so much fun to walk through the different areas and purposely take the long route. It always feels new and exciting for me.

And now with the new update being near, I'm stoked for what more I can enhance.

I saw the name of this tread and went finally a thread for me haha I have changed my whole island up over 3 times and I was trying to change it for the update but I do not have the motivation cause I feel like once I have done that again I will just hate it again.

Well my island isn’t pretty but it’s very efficient, and that’s all I really care about.

There’s some areas that I grow bored of, but not the whole island. There’s also some areas that I love and would never change. If I pass by it and it seems boring to me then it’s time for a remodel. For the update I already have some mayor ideas and know how I can make some areas better. I’m always remodeling though, so I’m never bored.

I got tired of my previous unfinished island so I tore it down. I'm happier with the island now, with a few exception of certain areas. I think it looks nicer, more complete, and have a more natural vibe than before. Also, the villagers have a bit more space in front of their houses for some decorations. I'm happy with that too.

So for now, I'm not tired of it yet. Haha

I don't have many areas "finished" so I don't get as sick of it, but a little anxious because I'll like some areas a lot but not where they're placed or how they connect to things around them... So that can get overwhelming when everything's bad lol

I'll have to put in more effort to look at Pinteret/dream addresses to get some ideas for patterns and then slowly start

Honestly in some areas are really boring to look at on my island, but then again I end up fixing it. Pretty much after the new update drops, I'll probably be able to make my island look better than last time.

Not really, i love walking aimlessly throughout my island. But when i walk around i always keep my eye open in case theres anything i want to switch up and sometimes it becomes a domino effect of small changes and the next thing i know it all looks slightly different than before. Even if i were to get bored of looking at my island there are always a bunch of things to do to keep me distracted from the aesthetics, i love this gamee lol
