For the interior, I care. The exterior, not as much, as nothing can be changed.

I don't care what the outside looks, but I do care about how the inside looks sometimes.
Usually after I start giving them things like a present from another villager or giving them bugs or fish.

Like Cally's house in my other town Chocolat is the worst out of all my villagers in all my other towns.

And the weirdest is probably Sylvana's.
She sat two plants in front of her radio.

Everyone else is like an ok or meh...
But villagers like Genji, Poppy, Prince, Molly and Blaire were my favorites.

Don't care about exteriors. I try to be careful with interiors, they ruin their houses when you give them stuff

No, Marshal's house is this sad pathetic gray cube and he's my favorite villager. Even though most of the villagers I have don't have ugly exteriors anyway, I don't see the point of being picky over that. Interiors are very important to me, though. Back when I played ACNL more, I was obsessed with sending my villagers rare furniture that matched the aesthetic of their houses. Diana, for example, is a very elegant and princessy villager. She even has the same name as a princess, which makes sense. When I first got her from my campsite, I sent her princess furniture from Gracie all the time as well as a hibiscus and a lily record player. The whirlpool bath Diana came with was too plain for my taste so I bought a new one from the island and customized it so it had rose petals in it before sending it to her. To say I spoiled her is an understatement. I liked customizing Stitches's house as well, and sent him stuff such as a jack-in-the-box from Halloween and the doll you got from Redd's fortune cookies during firework shows.

I’m honestly surprised by the results of the poll. I thought way more people were picky about villagers’ houses. Marshal’s house is amazing. I love the sloppy furniture set.

I don't care about their houses. They can do what they feel like! I only ever care when I have to make a villager trade, and the other person is like 'they have to be in spotless condition!1!oneone!' Then I'd have to move them out and back in with their cards, so I can reset their furniture and stuff. But if it's any permanent villager in my town, they can do whatever they want to their house, it's their house.

In my main town, all of my animals homes are disasters lmao. Whenever they want something, I usually let them buy it off of me, because I love them too much to say no lmao....

In my second town, I'll likely try to keep their homes original, just because I care a lot more about that town's aesthetic.

Though for both, I don't think I really care much about their exteriors. I actually quite like that each animal seems to have their own style that can be seen through the exterior of their home! Though I do have to say, I really hate the shanty exterior. :' ) I'm just like... don't u care that there are holes in ur house.... aren't u cold..... it's winter.......

I've never really cared one way or the other. I don't really decorate my towns much aside from flowers so exterior doesn't matter, but I prefer a cute house. As long as they on't stray too far from their original furniture I'm usually okay with whatever they add in their house too.

I don't care that much how the houses of my villagers looks like, both inside and outside.
I mean, I do understand people who like to have nice looking interiors for their villagers,
for me however, it would be too stressful to keep an eye on it the whole time that my
villagers not changing their interiors at all.

The only thing where I take care of it a little bit is that my villagers not ending up to
have fishs or bugs or shirts in their houses only with no furniture. In that case, I try
to send them some furniture via letters in hope that they maybe use them in their
houses, which actually works most of the time.

I'm trying to stick to warm colors in my town, so I specifically chose only villagers whose house exteriors fit the color scheme. I'm too lazy to worry about how the interior looks, though.

With HHD we were given decorating choices for interior and exterior of villager homes. In ACNL however, our choice is limited to interior. If a villager in my town has a hodgepodge of items in their home, I persuade them with favorite gift items in the hopes they will use them to change the look of their home.

Some villager interiors irritate me(Chief, most WA villagers, Lolly, Kid Cat) but I don't mind exteriors too much. (Would be nice if we were given as a request to pick out some new wallpaper/flooring/exterior parts for them to try out though.)

i dont go into their houses a lot so i dont care that much (though i really regret giving fauna that ugly pyramid lmao its truly hideous) but i do prefer some exteriors over others hjjhdhdfg

If I have a themed town, then i care what the outside of the house looks like, but otherwise i let my villagers run hog wild lmao
Hamphrey's house looks like a yard sale lol

I've never really cared that much. However, I recently started to pay more attention to their houses. I used to give them bugs or fish if they asked me for furniture and I let them buy whatever junk I had had on display in Re-tail. But it can get out of hand sometimes. Kitty asked me over yesterday and when she wanted me to buy something, I took one of the three beds she had in her room. xD

Yeah only care about the interior. I could care less about the exterior and the ones in my town are cute anyway. But the interiors are a different story because the villagers just make a complete mess in there if you let them. Freaking Teddy put a box corner sofa in front of his desk so he can't even use it. Then he put a closet facing his shower in the middle of his house so how is he supposed to even open it!Freaking Teddy man... Then Rocket put a bed next to her other bed and had two of the same tv next to each other. Like what great interior designing. And Hamphrey's house is just a mess of things but at least he's proud of it. So okay it's more funny than anything. I only care about that interior if they just trash it like Teddy or have a mismatched mess in there but other than that they can do whatever.

I care about the exterior to some extent because some villagers have house exteriors that are a bit... questionable aha. I tend to reset their interiors every so often, though. :< I like their default interiors a lot & only really allow one fish or insect :p

I do and I don't for both, but more for the interior. Sometimes I might be a little picky about what they put in there, but other times, I really don't mind what they do.
